  • LUKE BRYAN WILL PERFORM THE NATIONAL ANTHEM AT NHL’S NASHVILLE PREDATORS GAME THIS WEEK TO RAISE AWARENESS AND FUNDS FOR CHD.

On Thursday (February 13th), the Nashville Predators Foundation will host Hockey Has Heart Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) Awareness Night in support of the cardiac research and support that takes place at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. CHD, which impacts 40,000 newborns in the United States per year, results when the heart, or blood vessels near the heart, don’t develop normally before birth.

Prior to the 7 p.m. CT matchup between the Predators and Islanders, joined by two young CHD patients, country music super star Luke Bryan will perform the National Anthem. When Luke and his wife Caroline Boyer Bryan lost their niece, Sadie Brett Boyer, to complications of CHD in 2017, they came together with Brett’s parents, Ellen and Bo Boyer, to create The Brett Boyer Foundation in her honor. Since the foundation’s inception, the Bryan and Boyer family has been committed to raising awareness and funding research surrounding CHD.

In addition to Luke’s presence on behalf of The Brett Boyer Foundation, multiple CHD non-profits will be in attendance on Thursday to promote CHD awareness and research. Bright Heart FoundationAdult Congenital Heart AssociationHaley’s HeartsWorld of Broken Hearts and WubbaNub will host a mixer in the Bridgestone Arena meeting rooms for over 200 heart warriors and their families who will be at the game. WubbaNub Founder & CEO Carla Schneider will be in attendance and was instrumental in collaborating with the Preds to create the special Preds CHD Bear. Additionally, representatives from each organization will be on site to further support the CHD families and educate Preds fans.

As the guests of honor that evening, the young CHD patients and their families will receive the star treatment on Thursday. Following the mixer, the kids will have the opportunity to high five the team as they take the ice, ring the “Mayor of Smashville” siren and even enjoy all the action from Pekka Rinne‘s 365 Fund suite or Matt Duchene‘s Hockey Tonk.

To support the CHD fundraising efforts just in time for Valentine’s Day, fans are invited to stop by the Predators Foundation area (outside of Section 106/107) or the team store to purchase an adorable Preds WubbaNub pacifier (0-6 months) for $20. The WubbaNub is also available online. All proceeds will benefit CHD research and support at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Additionally, limited CHD t-shirts will be available for purchase. Donations will also be accepted.

  • LUKE BRYAN SCORES 29TH TOP 10 HIT.

Luke Bryan has just scored his 29th Top 10 single with his latest smash, “What She Wants Tonight.” The song, written by Luke, Ross Copperman, Hillary Lindsey and Jon Nite and produced by Jeff and Jody Stevens, is the follow up to Luke’s 23rd career No. 1 single “Knockin’ Boots” and is the second release from his upcoming studio album, Born Here, Live Here, Die Here, due April 24th.

Luke says he was really excited about the “infectious” song as it was coming together. “Ross came in, and he had the track and that drum loop in the front kind of dialed in, and the second I heard it, it was just really, really infectious. And then we were able to just really put a really great lyric (together) with a high energy track. When we came up with the hook – ‘She gets what she wants/and I get to be what she wants tonight,’ I was just, it just felt like something that could be played on the radio and it felt like something like that’s what women want to hear. They want to have a confident guy kind of singing to them in that way, and I hadn’t been this excited about a song in some time.”

The Georgia native is currently in the midst of taping American Idol, which is set to debut February 16th. He’s also set to launch his new tour, Proud to Be Right Here, May 28th in Cincinnati, Ohio.

  • UPDATED: SEVERAL COUNTRY FAVORITES TALK ABOUT FOOTBALL AND THIS YEAR’S SUPER BOWL.

This Sunday (February 2nd), millions of people around the world will be tuning in to the Super Bowl (the Big Game), including some of your favorite country artists. Some will be rooting for Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, while others will be pulling for the Jimmy Garoppolo-led San Francisco 49ers.

Check out all the action at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida on Sunday at 6:30pm ET on FOX.

Audio / Adam Hambrick talks about this year's Super Bowl matchup between Kansas City Chiefs and the San Franscisco 49ers.

    Download

Adam Hambrick (Super Bowl 2020) OC: …tough to beat. :27
“I’ve got to say I’m a big fan of Pat (rick) Mahomes. He plays the game at a level of smoothness and a level of finesse that you just don’t see a lot. He roasted the Titans so I feel I’ve just got to go with Pat Mahomes. He’s just hard to beat. He doesn’t even need an offensive line, just create space with his feet — incredibly accurate thrower, incredibly accurate downfield thrower. He’s gonna be tough to beat.”

Audio / Adam Hambrick talks about his favorite Super Bowl snack.

    Download

Adam Hambrick (Super Bowl snack) OC: …hit me up. :11
“One of my favorite party snacks is just give me a big ole bowl of guacamole and some of those Tostito’s hint of lime chips. Go ahead and give me that sponsorship. I’ll be waiting. Hit me up.”

Audio / Billy Currington says he loves watching football.

    Download

Billy Currington (football fan) OC: …love football. :36
“I’m a big football fan. I mean, when I was growing up, if you asked me who my favorite team is now, I couldn’t tell you. But when I was a kid, it was the Dallas Cowboys. And I don’t know if it was because my mom bought my brother a Pittsburgh Steelers pennant for some reason, and bought me a Dallas Cowboys pennant, and of course over the year I fell in love with the Cowboys, and then I wanted a jersey the next Christmas, and then the next one, I wanted [more Cowboys stuff]. So, I became a long-term fan with those guys. But I like it all now that I’m older. I’ll watch any game, it doesn’t matter who’s playing. But [I] love football.”

Audio / Brandon Lay predicts Kansas City will dominate at this year's Super Bowl.

    Download

Brandon Lay (Super Bowl 2020) OC: …Super Bowl. :14
“Man, I really don’t have a dog in the fight since the Chiefs took out my Titans, but I just don’t see how the 49ers are gonna score enough points to keep up with what the Chiefs got going on, so that’s my pick for the Super Bowl.”

Audio / Darius Rucker will headline the NFL’s On Location premium pregame parties prior to Super Bowl LIV in Miami this weekend. Darius is a HUGE football fan, as everyone probably knows by now, and he explains why he loves football so much. SIDENOTE: He’s a huge Miami Dolphins fan, and word has it, just to be able to meet then Dolphins quarterback, Dan Marino, he asked him to be in a Hootie & the Blowfish video for “Only Wanna Be With You.”

    Download

Darius Rucker (football) OC: …football season. :20
“Ever since I was five years old, I’ve loved football, and I love how physical it is. I love the chess match of the game. I love the speed of the game. I love college football, but for me watching pro football is better because the speed is so much more. For me, there’s two times a year, man — football season and waiting for football season.”

Audio / Jon Pardi went to the NFC Championship Game as the San Francisco 49ers beat the Green Bay Packers to go on to the Super. Jon says he's looking forward to seeing a great matchup between two great teams.

    Download

Jon Pardi (Super Bowl 2020) OC: …two great teams. :52
“It was really cool to go on the football field when you’ve got everybody from the head guy of the NFL and you’ve got Jerry Rice out there running around. It was really cool, and then we got to go watch the game in a really nice suite and thank you 49ers — they were awesome. It was just really cool, and to see them go to the Super Bowl at Levy Stadium, which is a very nice stadium. It was awesome. I grew up playing football and it was always the 9ers, you know? Like we looked up to those guys. I looked up to the 49ers. It was like our local team, and I guess i just never lost that spark from when they went to the Super Bowl. I think the game’s going to be great. The Chiefs are tough, and the Chiefs is another one…the Chiefs haven’t been in a Super Bowl in a long time either, so this is gonna be an all-out war of football (laughs) which is gonna be a great Super Bowl, and we’re gonna get a great Super Bowl from two great teams.”

Audio / Since his beloved New Orleans Saints aren't in this year's Big Game, Jordan Davis gives his pick for Sunday's matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers.

    Download

Jordan Davis (Super Bowl 2020) OC: …Super Bowl. :12
“Hey, it’s Jordan Davis, and I’m pumped for Super Bowl Sunday, and the Saints aren’t in it, so I am going to be cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs. So, let’s go Patrick Mahomes and yeah, go win a Super Bowl.”

Audio / Keith Urban says his wife, Nicole Kidman, got him interested in football.

    Download

Keith (Nicole and football) OC: …new to me. :04

“She’s a big NFL fan, and she sort of turned me on to it.”

Audio / LAUREN ALAINA LOVES WATCHING FOOTBALL.

    Download

Lauren Alaina (Super Bowl) OC: …I love it. :30
“My dad raised me to love football, so I think it’s like kind of in my blood to be obsessed with it. I feel like the guys are so passionate and they try so hard. Those people love playing that game as much as I love singing. I just love the heart and the drive and the passion behind it. I feel like those boys are playing as hard as they can – in college football and pro football – because it’s what they love to do and it’s their passion, and I just, I don’t know. I love it.”

Audio / LAUREN ALAINA TALKS ABOUT SOME OF HER FAVORITE FOODS THAT SHE’D LOVE TO HAVE DURING SUNDAY’S BIG GAME, BUT THEY’RE ONES SHE’S REALLY TRIED TO CUT OUT SINCE SHE’S GOTTEN HEALTHY.

    Download

Lauren Alaina (Super Bowl foods she wishes she could eat) OC: …with cheese? (laughs) :30
“Gosh, let’s see cheese dip. I would really like some cheese dip in my life again. Um, I’m a big fan of wings and hot dogs and pizza and cheesecake and poppers and cheese sticks and cheese, anything that has to do with cheese. Did you realize everything I named besides the wings, which you dip in blue cheese, had to do with cheese?” (laughs)

Audio / Little Big Town’s Jimi Westbrook and Phillip Sweet are looking forward to watching this year’s matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers…even though his team, the Tennessee Titans, were knocked out during the AFC Championship game.

    Download

LBT (Super Bowl 2020) OC: (Phillip) …win this game. :29
JIMI: “This game is gonna be fun. Of course, my team is the Tennessee Titans, so I don’t have quite the heart connection that I do with these two teams. (Phillip: “I like Mahomes though.”) But I’m excited because I think it’s gonna be a great game. They match up very interestingly, and I think it’s gonna be fun to watch. I don’t think anybody’s gonna stop Mahomes, though. Shew. The 49er defense, they are for real.” PHILLIP: “If you can pick apart the 49er defense, you can win this game.”

Audio / Little Big Town’s beautiful and talented Karen Fairchild was a badass growing up when she was playing quarterback for her powder puff football team.

    Download

LBT (football story) OC: …my lip. :40
“I was the quarterback to my powder puff team. I was running the ball and I came around the corner – this was in high school – and a foreign exchange student, I think her name was Inga (KIMBERLY: “Inga.”), and I didn’t want to fumble ‘cause my brother and my dad were there, and I come from this very athletic family, so I held onto the ball. I knew I was going to go down, so I let my head hit first and I bit all the way through, but I didn’t fumble and I had a hole in my face, though. The sad thing is that it was just flag football, but I left my flags on and cleats and everything, ‘cause it looked cool, and I had blood running all down my jersey. I went to the emergency room like that, and they sewed up my lip.”

Audio / Luke Bryan talks about some of the food he likes to have while watching the Super Bowl.

    Download

Luke Bryan (Super Bowl food) OC: …over again. :22
“Definitely Super Bowl is like the queso, the Frito Lay scoops with the Ro-tel situation. I guess it’s like, what’s the black-eyed pea stuff too? All of that, just stuff that you can sit there and have lots of sodium, and then just, it’s like Thanksgiving all over again.”

Audio / Sam Hunt talks about this year's matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers.

    Download

Sam Hunt (Super Bowl 2020) OC: …one for the books, for sure. :35
“I think it’s gonna be exciting. It’s like the new generation Super Bowl almost. The quarterbacks are great. I really like that Mahomes guy. I mean he represents a whole new era of quarterback. The game has changed a lot over the years, and it is, it’s exciting to see two teams…I like watching great offenses. I like quarterbacks who throw the ball around, score lots of points, and these two teams do that. They’ve got a lot of exciting players. So, I think this one’s gonna be one for the books, for sure.”

Audio / SAM HUNT LOVES THAT THE SUPER BOWL MIXES HIS TWO LOVES – MUSIC AND FOOTBALL.

    Download

Sam Hunt (Super Bowl & music) OC: …combined there. :24
“It’s become such a massive pop culture event, and I love that they’ve incorporated music and entertainment with the sport itself and the entertainment value that comes from that. It encompasses just a strong representation of American culture, and I’m a huge music fan, obviously, and I’m a huge sports fan, so those are two of my favorite worlds combined there.”

Luke will kick off his “PROUD TO BE RIGHT HERE TOUR” on May 28th in Cincinnati, Ohio at Riverbend Music Center and will play nearly 40 shows before wrapping in the fall. Morgan Wallen is the special guest on the tour with openers Caylee Hammack, on first half, and Runaway June, the last half of tour. Select dates on sale to the Nut House, Luke’s fan club, Tuesday, January 28th and select dates on sale to the public Friday, January 31st.

“‘Proud to be right here’ is a phrase from my new album’s title track, BORN HERE, LIVE HERE, DIE HERE (written by Jameson Rodgers, Josh Thompson, Jake Mitchell),” said Luke. “From the moment I first heard it, I loved that this song related so closely to how I grew up and how I still have so many ties to my hometown. It’s a connection I feel is so important in country music. I am truly so thankful to have the opportunity to make music for my fans and to look out into the crowds each night from stage and be proud of what we’ve created. And I’m excited to get on the road with these guest artists too. I’ve been watching what Morgan is building with his fans and it has been so fun to watch! I know with him, Caylee and Runaway June on this tour it’s going to be such a high energy night for everyone.”

    About Luke Bryan
In 2019, Luke was named as the first-ever recipient of the ACM’s Album of the Decade Award for Crash My Party as presented to him during a Grand Ole Opry appearance. The ACM Album of the Decade Award recognizes an album that has impacted country music over the decade. The factors considered include the success of singles at radio, album concept, commercial media, sales and streaming, artistic merit and ACM Award recognition. Billboard said, “it wasn’t just his star power that made Crash My Party special, as most of the album’s singles — like the poignant “Drink a Beer” and nostalgic “Roller Coaster” — were more focused on Bryan’s heartfelt croon as opposed to the party anthems that “bro country” made popular at that time.”

22 of Bryan’s 23 #1 hits have been in the last decade including his breakthrough hit ““Country Girl Shake It For Me” which was included in Billboard Magazine’s “100 Songs that Defined a Decade” list out last month. Other #1 hits include “I Don’t Want This Night To End,” “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Everyday,” “Play It Again” and poignant songs like “Fast,” “Drink A Beer” and “Most People Are Good,” which Music Row named Song of the Year in 2018 and Rolling Stone at its peak touted “it’s message – coming from a star on the level of Luke Bryan – is important in the country music world.”

Luke’s headline concert tours have played for over one million fans every year for the last six years with four of those reaching 1.5 million. In total Luke has performed for nearly 12 million fans in the last ten years. His 2019 “Sunset Repeat Tour” wrapped this fall with his 36th career headline stadium concert at Ford Field in Detroit and during the show Luke was presented with a new music plaque signifying his continued domination in the format with more RIAA certified digital singles than any other country artist with 54 million digital singles, 12.5 million albums and Seven billion streams. Luke has four Platinum albums, two 4x-Platinum albums, seven RIAA certified albums, 22 Platinum singles and 12 Multi-Platinum singles.

In this past decade Luke has presented ten Farm Tours (11 years career total), seven headline tours, six years of Spring Break shows and six Crash My Playa concert events. He was recognized as a CMT Artist of the Year six consecutive times, was twice named the Entertainer of the Year by BOTH the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association and was honored as a NSAI Artist/Songwriter of the Year. In total Luke has won over 40 music awards including six ACM awards, six CMT Music Awards, five Billboard Music Awards, four American Music Awards, two CMA awards, an iHeart and a Teen Choice award and more.

This March Luke will continue his role as a celebrity judge on ABC’s American Idol.
