Easton Corbin is about to release his new album, About to Get Real, on Tuesday (June 30th), and he feels it’s a good balance between his traditional country roots and keeping it fresh.
“As an artist, you grow and within that growth process, you do your best to make it current and young, but also with that you stay true to your roots and you have to be real about that. For me, it’s keeping that traditional country element in my songs, but also keeping it fresh. It’s a balance, and I think we’ve done that well with this record.”
About to Get Real features Easton’s current single, “Baby Be My Love Song,” as well as three songs he had a hand in writing.
On release day, Easton will be making the media rounds, but will also be rounding the bases. He’s set to perform an acoustic set at the New York Mets game on Tuesday.

“I think that just sounded great as a title track to a record, because it’s about, as an artist, you grow and within that growth process, you do your best to make it current and young, but also with that you stay true to your roots and you have to be real about that.
