Following a powerful performance of her new single “More” during today’s CMT’s Next Women of Country luncheon, CMT announced that Clare Dunn would be part of its 2019 Next Women of Country Tour alongside Cassadee Pope and Hannah Ellis. (Tour dates and routing forthcoming.) “I’m blown away by this honor and can’t wait to get out on the road with Cassadee and Hannah!” said Clare.
Known for her transfixing live shows, unparalleled guitar artistry, and clean, powerful vocals — as demonstrated on her current single “More” — Clare spent the last several weeks traveling the U.S. visiting radio stations, fans and performing her first show at Madison Square Garden, opening for Kane Brown before a sold-out crowd.
“Playing the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden was hard to put into words. Growing up in rural America, this milestone show was a reminder that your dreams can take you anywhere!” said Clare.
Prior to her visit to the Big Apple, Clare spent time at this year’s Future Farmers of America convention in Iowa. “These kids remind me of how I grew up; close to the land and close to family,” she shared. “I loved encouraging them to chase their dreams.”
On Sunday, November 11 Clare performed as part of Budweiser’s CMA “Country Club” showcase at Exit/In, delivering her signature Adele-meets-Martina vocals and a hefty dose of Stevie Ray Vaughan guitar licks to a packed venue.
The 5’10” beauty stunned as she walked the ASCAP Awards red carpet (11.12) in a black gown by Alexandre Vauthier, shoes by ZARA and clutch by Judith Leiber.
On Wednesday Clare will attend the CMA Awards then dive back into touring mode and promotion of her latest single, “More.” (Purchase/Stream – http://strm.to/claredunnmore ).
An artist on the ascent, Clare is a “masterful guitar player who can do it all” (CMT) with “big, soaring vocals and serious guitar prowess,” (Rolling Stone). Clare caught the attention of rock legend Bob Seger who, after hearing her sound check only once, invited her to be his opener for his Ride Out Tour. |
