In this new temporary world of self-distancing and quarantine due to the Coronavirus outbreak, many of Nashville’s touring musicians are not working…if they don’t play, they don’t get paid. Enter FAMILY TREE LAWN CARE CO, which was formed by a few of Caylee Hammack’s band members. They have taken the name from her radio single, “Family Tree,” and have had mowers, weedeaters, blowers and other equipment donated to them for their new business.
“We decided to start FAMILY TREE LAWNCARE CO because we saw a need as concerts, tours and festivals were all canceled or postponed. We realized hundreds if not thousands of industry professionals are now out of work, so we decided we’d start a lawn care company to hopefully provide work for ourselves and hopefully down the future, if dreams turn into a reality, we can provide work to other industry professionals, as well,” says guitarist Lance Herring. “We decided to call it Family Tree Lawncare Company, because we work for the UMG/Capitol recording artist Caylee Hammack, and her first radio single was titled ‘Family Tree,’ and we thought it was a very apt name to get this thing off the ground.”
He continues, “People have been so kind to donate or lend us lawn mowers and weed eaters and blowers and equipment to get this thing off the ground and jump start our efforts to help provide us income for ourselves and other industry professionals. So, we’ll see where this thing takes us, but it’s been fun. We can be reached at familytreelawncareco@gmail.com.
