SCOTTY McCREERY PREMIERES VIDEO FOR ‘SEE YOU TONIGHT.’ (AUDIO & VIDEO)

The video for Scotty McCreery’s “See You Tonight” premieres on TasteofCountry.com on Thursday (September 5th). The clip — which was shot in Nashville and on the campus of North Carolina University in Raleigh (Scotty’s college) — features a different twist on the title. “The theme behind the song ‘See You Tonight’ is about a guy who’s really got to go see his girl tonight. When you think about that, you obviously think about a guy hopping in the car and going to see his girl and he just can’t wait to see her,” says Scotty. “If you really think about it, the ultimate ‘can’t wait to see your girl’ is somebody’s that’s just coming back from duty, somebody in the military that hasn’t seen his wife or her husband in so long. So, when you think about that, it really makes the song a lot more powerful to me when you see that in the video form.” Check out the Roman White-directed video below.

In the meantime, the album See You Tonight officially arrives in stores October 15th, but Scotty is offering something extra special to fans who pre-order the album. He kicked off the pre-sale of his forthcoming album this week, and he’s promised that he’ll sign all of the albums purchased within the first 48 hours. The extra special pre-sale with Scotty’s autograph ends Thursday night. For more information on Scotty’s album, go to scottymccreery.com.

Scotty McCreery (video) OC: …it came out. :45
“This one came out really cool. The theme behind the song ‘See You Tonight’ is about a guy who’s really got to go see his girl tonight. When you think about that, you obviously think about a guy hopping in the car and going to see his girl and he just can’t wait to see her. If you really think about it, the ultimate ‘can’t wait to see your girl’ is somebody’s that’s just coming back from duty, somebody in the military that hasn’t seen his wife or her husband in so long. So, when you think about that, it really makes the song a lot more powerful to me when you see that in the video form. It was really cool to see it kind of take life. We filmed some of it here in Raleigh and some of it in Nashville. I told the director, Roman [White], I said, ‘I really want to capture that moment when he surprises her and he gets there,’ and I think we did. The first time I saw it, it gave me chills, and I’m really, really happy with the way it came out.”
