• BROTHERS OSBORNE GET READY TO RELEASE THEIR LIVE AT THE RYMAN ALBUM.

Brothers Osborne fans are anticipating the release of their Live at the Ryman album next week. The collection of songs recorded during their sold-out three-night run at
Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium earlier this year will be released digitally October 11th. The guys feel there’s just something special about playing at the famed venue.

This room, every time we play here, there’s just a special experience, a special memory every time, and it’s something that we don’t want to take for granted,” says the duo’s TJ Osborne. “And it’s cool that we had a three-night stint here and we were able to record that and have that out, especially with all the history that’s happened in this room. I just think of all the people that have been in these seats over the many years that this place has been here, and the people have been on that stage, and it’s right in our backyard now that we are Nashvillians. This place never loses its charm and its luster, and I hope it never does for me. It’s always a special, special spot.”

The album will feature the band’s Platinum-certified hits such as “Stay A Little Longer” and “It Ain’t My Fault,” as well as fan favorites like “Weed, Whiskey And Willie” and “Love The Lonely Out Of You.” Special album packages including unique merch items will be available at www.brothersosborne.com and members of The Family fan club will receive exclusive access to the album starting October 10th.

Audio / John Osborne from Brothers Osborne thought it was unbelievable when someone suggested the duo do a show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, much less three nights.

Brothers Osborne (performing at The Ryman) OC: … around it. :50
“To be frank, two years ago someone had mentioned playing in the Ryman Auditorium and personally I was like, ‘No, that’s crazy! That’s the mother church, we’ll never get to that state,’ and then eventually it was like… you know I think we might be able to do this. Fast forward a couple years later, and it’s like, ‘Well, they want you to do two nights.’ And I’m like, that’s unbelievable. And they sold out pretty much instantaneously, and then we sold out a third night much quicker than that, and it kind of blew my mind because it really showed the progression of our career and what we’ve been doing the last couple of years. You kind of forget how far you’ve come, and then when you look at this place and you’re like wow, to play this place one night is a gift, it’s an accomplishment that everyone should remember, but the fact that we did it three, it’s still, I can’t even wrap my mind around it.”

Luke Bryan (CMA Music Festival TV) OC: …for the fans. 1:00
“I’ve always been the type of artist when I can perform my music for a television audience, it’s the best of both worlds. You get to be in people’s households and they get to always put the face with the song. I mean, that used to be a big deal in my career, in my early career, we had to make sure that the people watching at home put it together that this crazy guy was singing in the song. I mean, this is like a big, awards-show-type crowd in August and yeah, it’s very important. You don’t want to go out there and lay an egg. You want to go put a great show on, because the fans that are in the room, they’re gonna go watch it again in August. And another thing — it’s gonna make people that may not have been to this festival, they’re gonna want to come be a part of that. So it’s been fun watching CMA Music Fest grow to where it’s sold out every night, and that’s because we put a cool thing to watch on TV together for the fans.”

Carrie Underwood (CMA Music Festival) OC: …when they’re here. 1:05
“CMA Music Festival is so much fun, and every year they do a TV special, which is really cool. We kind of get to give the rest of the world that didn’t get to come to the Music Fest a little taste of what it’s like and hopefully they’ll see it and want to come next year. But CMA Music Fest is so much fun. No other genre of music does what country music does for their fans like this, which is so cool. There are literally like hundreds of thousands of people that like descend on Nashville, and there’s not a hotel to be found. Everywhere you go there’s people looking for music and looking to see artists and fan club parties and charity events and the CMT Music Awards are that week. It’s a lot of fun, and it’s kind of a way to get to interact and give back and meet the people that have been coming to see you on tour and get to say thank you. It’s just a blast. I came as a kid growing up a couple of times, and it’s cool to be on that side of things and now to be on this side of things, but I think everybody just has a lot of fun when they’re here.”

Audio / Keith Urban, who is making his way up the country charts with “We Were,” talks about CMA Music Fest.

Keith Urban(CMA Music Fest) OC: …love it. :25
“I love it! It’s like summer camp. I mean, it is! It’s a chance to obviously see a lot of people I don’t normally see. I don’t know. It’s just palpable. Since Fan Fair, it’s just been that sort of week-plus of energy; the town just explodes, and what it is we love about this genre and the community aspect of it. I always love it.”

TJ: “When we first came to Nashville, we had dreams of playing, like ‘Oh my God, are we ever gonna play there?’ And it never even crosses your mind – you’re not playing the stadium. It’s just not happening. And now to circle around and to be playing here, it’s wild. The feeling of it is not lost on us, even the slightest. It’s hard to really, honestly put it into words. It’s literally every kid’s dream, even if you don’t become a musician, you still dream about being on that stage. And we used to come, when we would come, it was Fan Fair, and we would see artists performing on these stages and be like, ‘Gah, we’d just give anything to be in their shoes.”

Yeah, it’s a remarkable thing to get to be a part of a mass of people who wanna listen to music. It’s great.”

  • BROTHERS OSBORNE ANNOUNCE LIVE ALBUM COMING THIS FALL.

Brothers Osborne will release a live album this fall. Based on their sold-out three-night stand at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium earlier this year, the duo recorded their performances to put together an amazing collection of live songs.

“The Ryman shows we did, we recorded them to put out our first live album,” says TJ Osborne. “So, we’ll be putting it out in the fall. We’ll release the track listing pretty soon.”

Many of their fans have seen multiple shows and not one performance is the exact same. “We’re a band. We play like a band and certain songs we want to go out there, we want it to be a little bit different, because if you just wanted to hear it like the record, then stay home and listen to the record. So, we want to make it special and that gives us one chance every night to really change it up and flip it over on its head,” says John Osborne. “We’ve had people who’ve come to 10, 20, 50, 60, 70 shows, and I think that’s why they keep coming back, because they do get a bit of variation. And honestly for us, it’s good for our soul, it’s good for our integrity, just to get out there, keep it different, keep it spicy, otherwise it’ll just get stagnant.”

The guys, who are making their way up the country charts with “I Don’t Remember Me (Before You),” are currently in the U-K for a couple of shows before coming back to North America with a pair of shows in Minnesota (June 21st and 22nd). Go to brothersosborne.com for more tour dates.

“We’re a band. We play like a band and certain songs we want to go out there, we want it to be a little bit different, because if you just wanted to hear it like the record, then stay home and listen to the record. So, we want to make it special and that gives us one chance every night to really change it up and flip it over on its head. We’ve spent our entire lives practicing at becoming better at improvising, the last thing we want we want to do is be great at improvising and then not get to do it and our musicians on stage are phenomenal sowe want to give the chance to just looking great. And every night some are better than other and that’s okay. If it wasn’t as good one night, that’s actually what makes it special because it’s not the same damn thing every night. And we’ve had people who’ve come to 10, 20, 50, 60, 70 shows, and I think that’s why they keep coming back, because they do get a bit of variation. • CARRIE UNDERWOOD, KEITH URBAN, ERIC CHURCH, JON PARDI AND BROOKS & DUNN SURPRISE FANS DURING CMA MUSIC FEST 2019.

In addition to all of the amazing performances at this year’s CMA Music Fest, there were also some surprise appearances. Carrie Underwood performed at Nissan Stadium (home to the Tennessee Titans) and during her set, she brought out the legendary Joan Jett to perform a medley of the rocker’s hits (“I Hate Myself for Loving You,” “Bad Reputation,” “Crimson and Clover”).

Keith Urban surprised the crowd on Saturday night to join Billy Ray Cyrus and L’il Nas X at the Stadium to perform the No. 1 song in the nation, “Old Town Road.”

Eric Church hit the stage at Nissan Stadium on Friday (June 7th) accompanied by his acoustic guitar to perform a 30-minute medley of several of his hits, including “Drink in My Hand,” “Mr. Misunderstood,” “Talladega,” “Smoke a Little Smoke,” “Round Here Buzz” and many more.

Jon Pardi surprised the Nissan Stadium crowd during Thomas Rhett‘s set to perform “Beer Can’t Fix” from TR’s new album, Center Point Road complete with a koozie-covered beer.

On Thursday, legendary duo Brooks & Dunn surprised the audience when they stepped onstage during Brothers Osborne‘s set to perform “Hard Workin’ Man,” which is featured on B&D’s new Reboot album. TJ and John also brought up their friend Ashley McBryde to perform her cut on the duo’s album of their huge hit, “You’re Gonna Miss Me When I’m Gone,” also featured on Reboot.

“I get to sing with Joan Jett, guys! Whooooo! (I’m) super excited. I feel like we’ve had connections and bumped into each other in various places, and the stars just aligned. It was kind of like, ‘What if Joan Jett came to CMA Fest?’ ‘Well, let’s ask her.’ So, she’s here. The coolness has arrived, and I’m hoping some of it rubs off on me.”

“Just hearing her songs on the radio and the more I got to know and see just how much of a trailblazer she was for, not just women in her genre of music, but women in music in general…I mean, I’m a fan on every level — personally, professionally, musically and honored that she’s heard my name before and agreed to come sing with me.”

Audio / Backstage at Nissan Stadium on Sunday night (June 9th) before his scheduled CMA Music Fest performance, Keith Urban talked about making a surprise appearance to perform with Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus on "Old Town Road."

“I just loved the song when I heard it. I love the record too, you know? Those are sometimes very separate things – the song to the record — but I just loved it and wanted to do my little cover version of it on my ganjo. From that very spontaneous moment, Nas saw the piece that I did and really loved it apparently, and next thing you know, I’m playing with him (and Billy Ray) last night.”

Audio / Backstage in the press room, Jon Pardi talks about his collaboration with Thomas Rhett on "Beer Can't Fix" and their first live performance of the song during this year's CMA Music Fest.

Jon Pardi (Thomas Rhett song) OC: …short hair now. (laughs) :44
“So (claps), me and Thomas (Rhett) go back to the long hair days — two songwriters trying to figure out who they’re gonna be in country music. I was so happy when he texted me and asked me to be a part of this record, and I was like, ‘Of course! Like come on! What song?’ He sent me two and we decided to sing ‘Beer Can’t Fix,’ ’cause it’s an anthem. It’s a no-brainer. For two male artists to sing a song together, I think it’s perfect. it’s about, well, drinking a beer. It’s fun, and I would say there’s a full-circle (moment) for me and him to walk out on Nissan and sing, for the first time ever, this song together. I don’t know. I think it’s cool, and we have short hair now.” (laughs)

First we were asked, ‘Are you guys fans of Brooks & Dunn?’ I just thought it was a ridiculous question to ask if you’re not a fan of Brooks & Dunn, then you shouldn’t be in this genre. But, so then it was like, ‘What song are we gonna do?’ Then it was a little tough because Ronnie’s voice is so high and obviously, I have a baritone voice, of trying to get a song to work for both of our strengths, and then a song that lends itself to a lot of guitar parts and then ‘Hard Workin’ Man,’ it became pretty obvious that was a really great song, but that also took abandoning one of the guitar hooks in that song. It was just crazy, because we wanted to do it like Brooks & Dunn did it, because we just love the song, and they wanted to do it like we would do it. It was a really interesting thing. I think the way that it turned out was really great. I’m really proud of it, and I think it really is a perfect kind of mix of us both.”

  • DIERKS BENTLEY AND BROTHERS OSBORNE WERE “BURNING UP” OVER THE “BURNING MAN” VIDEO.

Dierks Bentley is known to go the extra mile to make sure he’s made a great video for his songs. For the song, “Black,” he went to Iceland, he also got “Drunk on a Plane.” He’s shot videos late at night and early in the morning, but his “Burning Man” video may take the cake with comfort taking a back seat to the visual element. He and his pals TJ and John Osborne, otherwise known as Brothers Osborne, went out in the hot, hot, hot desert to catch some iconic footage for the clip, which is nominated for two CMT Music Awards during tonight’s show.

“‘The ‘Burning Man’ video shoot was, it was difficult. Sometimes you have to sacrifice comfort for, obviously, the view, for the way it turns out, for the area you’re shooting the video in and trying to get these great shots, and your comfort is secondary, which I’m totally fine with because I just want a great video that supports a great song. I’m always nervous making videos, because if I’m putting a song out there as a single, I feel like it’s a very special song, and I don’t want the video possibly make the song not be as good as it is, you know what I mean,” says Dierks. “In this case, it meant shooting at a body of water out by Palm Springs that’s totally dead. It’s called the Salton Sea, and it used to be a place where Frank Sinatra would be water skiing. It was this beautiful place. I don’t know what happened, but the water…the whole thing is completely dead. There’s no fish living in there. It smells terrible. It’s super hot. There’s rattlesnakes under every single rock. We lost about four or five people from heat stroke; TJ’s boots were like melting into the rocks. [laughs] It was unbelievable. I felt so bad for those guys, because when you do a duet with somebody, you’re kind of signing on to do more than just singing on a track. You’re gonna be there for awards shows, for videos, but they were great as they always are. I love those guys. It turned out great. It looks awesome on TV, which is the whole point. It was an interesting place to do a video, but we were nominated for a CMT [Award], so it all turned out well.”

Dierks is currently making his way up the country charts with his latest hit, “Living.”

Audio / Dierks Bentley talks about the behind-the-scenes action on his "Burning Man" video with Brothers Osborne.

In this case, it meant shooting at a body of water out by Palm Springs that’s totally dead. It’s called the Salton Sea, and it used to be a place where Frank Sinatra would be waterskiing.
