  • CARRIE UNDERWOOD KICKS OFF 2nd LEG OF “THE DENIM & RHINESTONES TOUR” TO PACKED ARENAS ACROSS FLORIDA.

    Carrie Underwood kicked off the second leg of her 43-city arena tour, THE DENIM & RHINESTONES TOUR, in Florida last week, playing to packed houses in Miami (February 2), Tampa (February 4), and Jacksonville (February 6). The first leg of the tour launched in October with a sold-out show in Greenville, SC, and wrapped November 19.  A critical and commercial smash, the tour makes stops in 25 U.S. cities during the second leg, including New York’s Madison Square Garden, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, and L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena before concluding in Seattle, WA on March 17. Underwood is joined on THE DENIM & RHINESTONES TOUR by special guest Jimmie Allen on all dates. The tour is promoted by AEG Presents.

    Highlights of the show included Underwood’s performance of her hit single “Ghost Story,” and her current single, “Hate My Heart,” from her Denim & Rhinestones album. “Hate My Heart” is currently climbing the charts and the music video, directed by Shaun Silva, is now available on all platforms.

    We may be getting ready to enter February, but we just celebrated the holidays a few weeks ago. Carrie Underwood and her family were surrounded by the magic of Christmas–especially since they could enjoy it through the eyes of both her of her sons — Isaiah and Jacob — now that her youngest is beginning to understand.

    “I feel like this year was kind of the first year that Jake understood Christmas and all it’s magic,” says Carrie. “He was three around Christmas; he just turned four in January, and it’s just a lot of fun to have two kids that are kind of in the thick of just believing in Christmas magic. We did a lot of traveling with family and we got to spend some time up in Canada and they got to play in the snow, and it’s a lot of fun. It’s fun right now in our world with our boys.”

    Carrie is currently making her way up the country charts with her latest single, “Hate My Heart,” and she’s getting ready to launch the next leg of her Denim & Rhinestones Tour on Thursday (February 2nd) in Miami.

    Carrie Underwood returns to the road on Thursday (February 2nd) in Miami with The Denim & Rhinestones Tour featuring Jimmie Allen, and she can’t wait to get “back into the swing” of performing for fans.

    “I’m excited about getting back on the road on the Denim & Rhinestones Tour,” says the “Hate My Heart” singer. “I think the thing that I always look forward with tours is just getting on stage.     Christmas for Carrie Underwood hasn’t changed that much from when she was a young girl. She usually still gets together with her family, which includes her parents, two sisters and their families…as well as her own husband, Mike Fisher, and sons Isaiah and Jacob.

    Carrie says some of her Christmas traditions include a lot of traveling to visit her family and her husband Mike Fisher’s family…but also cooking and celebrating the season. “My perfect Christmas, generally we do a lot of traveling around Christmas. We’ll go see either my family or my husband’s family,” says Carrie. “I’ll spend all day cooking. I’ll make a small turkey, even though I don’t eat turkey. I’ll make myself some tofurkey; cranberry sauce, of course. Of course, sweet potato casserole. You have to have that. That’s one of my favorites because it’s a side dish and dessert, but I’ll just make a ridiculous amount of food. Just celebrate, have a fire, we wait for Santa and open our presents, then we’re off to see the next group of family. It’s all about watching it through my sons’ eyes and just getting to spend time with family.”

    The mother of two loves to cook, especially at Christmas, because of the food and most importantly, due to the company gathered around the dining table. “I do love to cook, and I love to go all out for Christmas,” says Carrie. “I don’t do anything super fancy – lots of casseroles and stuff like that, like broccoli rice casserole, and some sort of macaroni dish, and there’s always deviled eggs. I don’t know why we eat deviled eggs every holiday. It’s like the holiday thing to do is make deviled eggs. What else do I do? There’s pecan pie—that’s my husband’s favorite. I love pumpkin pie, so I’ll always make that. My son and I will make Christmas cookies and things like that; green bean casserole. That’s another one. I don’t know, I might be the only one who eats green bean casserole, but it’s the kind of thing that you just have to have it. But I love to cook, and I feel like that’s, you know, I love to feast. I love to get around the table. There’s way too much food to eat and everybody’s bellies are full and everyone’s happy and thankful and enjoying the food and the company.”

    She continues: “For me growing up, Christmas was always just comforting. We always had the same stockings and the same tree and the same decorations, and we would always decorate the weekend right after Thanksgiving. You know, flip the Christmas switch, put the tree up. Now that we’re adults and have kids, we can go to the Christmas tree farm and we can walk around, and we can pick out which one and ask Isaiah, ‘Which one do you think?’ Just things like that, making those memories. It’s just a joyful time of year.”

    One of the traditions she enjoys with her own family is picking out a Christmas tree with her husband and two sons. “We were an artificial tree family growing up. It was easier, you know, but now in our own home, we do the real tree thing, and we kind of try to make that a little bit of a tradition. We go and we pick it out. The boys have some say in which one we get, and they feel some ownership and we all decorate it together and of course, have Christmas music playing in the house. I make cookies that were my husband’s grandmother that my kids call Gigi. It’s her recipe, her ginger snap cookies, and we make those and it’s super sweet. Isaiah loves makes Gigi’s cookies, because he still remembers her a little bit. So, it’s something special we get to do.”

    One of her favorite memories from childhood was singing Christmas carols for folks in nursing homes. “Christmas was always just about family,” she says. “One thing that we always did growing up that was one of my favorite memories, we would on Christmas Eve we would go to my grandparents’ house. Us kids were always responsible for putting oranges and apples and bananas in little paper bags and we would go down to the nursing home and sing Christmas carols.”

    Carrie released a special edition of her Christmas album, My Gift, last year, featuring “Favorite Time of Year,” “Let There Be Peace” and “Hallelujah” with John Legend. The global superstar says there’s nothing like Christmas music that gets you in the spirit of the season. “There is no other like part of the year that gets its own music, like exclusively. When you think about it, like entire radio stations switch over to play Christmas music around Christmas time. So, I feel like it just puts you in the mood for Christmas. Christmas is something that everybody looks forward to and to have Christmas music start playing way before Christmas. It usually does because people just can’t wait to get there. It puts you in a mood. It changes your state of mind. It gets you ready for it and it just makes you feel a certain way.”

  • CARRIE UNDERWOOD ENDS 2022 ON A HIGH NOTE.

    Carrie Underwood wraps 2022 on a high note, setting the stage for another stellar year in 2023.  She closes out the year as Billboard’s Top Country Female 2022, Country Aircheck’s #1 Top Female of the Year, and Mediabase’s Most Played Female Country Artist this year.

    The global superstar continued her career-long winning streak with multiple awards and honors, beginning with her 8th GRAMMY® Award for Best Roots Gospel Album (My Savior), continuing with her 16th ACM Award for Single of the Year (“If I Didn’t Love You” with Jason Aldean), 24th and 25th CMT Music Awards for Collaborative Video of the Year Award and Video of the Year (“If I Didn’t Love You” with Jason Aldean), holding the record for the most award wins ever for the show. “If I Didn’t Love You” also won an iHeartRadio Music Award for Country Song of the Year, and is the 3rd Most Played Country Song of the Year on Mediabase’s year-end chart.  Carrie ended the year winning the People’s Choice Award for The Country Artist of 2022, marking her 10th win for the fan-voted awards.

    Caylee Hammack and newcomer Dalton Dover have been tapped to perform during the CMA’s series as part of next year’s C2C: Country to Country festival in the U.K. Serving as the official kickoff leading into C2C, Dalton will be part of the CMA Songwriters Series show on March 9th, which will also include Lainey Wilson and Nate Smith. Caylee will be joined by Alana Springsteen and Tyler Braden for the series Introducing Nashville as the festivals opening set at The O2 in London March 10th, The Ovo Hydro in Glasgow, March 11th, and 3Arena in Dublin March 12th.

    The Thanksgiving holiday tradition traces its origins to a 1621 celebration at Plymouth, in the state that’s now known as Massachusetts. The 1621 Plymouth feast and thanksgiving was prompted by a good harvest. While initially, the Plymouth colony did not have enough food to feed half of the 102 colonists, the Wampanoag Native Americans helped the Pilgrims by providing seeds and teaching them to fish. The practice of holding an annual harvest festival like this did not become a regular affair in New England until the late 1660s. People now celebrate the holiday by giving thanks for their blessings over the past year, as well as feasting on turkey and other festive goodies.

    Some festive fun facts about Thanksgiving:

    • President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed Thanksgiving a national holiday on October 3rd, 1863.
    • Harry Truman is often credited with being the first president to pardon a turkey, but that’s not quite true. He was the first to receive a ceremonial turkey from the National Turkey Federation – and he had it for dinner. John F. Kennedy was the first to let a Thanksgiving turkey go, followed by Richard Nixon who sent his turkey to a petting zoo. George H.W. Bush is the president who formalized the turkey pardoning tradition in 1989.
    • The average number of calories consumed on Thanksgiving is 4,500.
    • Butterball answers more than 100,000 turkey-cooking questions via their Butterball Turkey Hotline each November and December.
    • The tradition of football on Thanksgiving began in 1876 with a game between Yale and Princeton. The first NFL games were played on Thanksgiving in 1920.
    • The Wednesday before Thanksgiving has become known as “Drinksgiving.” Bars experience a huge boom the night before the holiday.

And so everyone that was kind of in our same shoes, we’d all end up at our house, and it really turned into really blossoming some of our most cherished relationships. We would be there with Kacey Musgraves. It was the first time I really got to hang out with Mickey Guyton (JOHN: “Maren Morris.”) Maren Morris. They would come over and we just became like family to each other because we couldn’t get home to see our own families. And that’s a Thanksgiving tradition that we still to this day try to keep, and it’s a revolving door of who’s there or who’s not there, but yeah, it’s a wonderful tradition. And let me tell you, spending it with our friends in Nashville, there’s a little less arguing than back home.     “I love being outside in nature and the outdoors, and the holidays is a great time for me to go and partake in that part of my life. A lot of times, Thanksgiving and Christmas, it’s a little cold to go fishing, but when it comes to Thanksgiving and Christmas, it’s a great time to go hunting, especially in South Carolina, that’s when the temperatures are starting to drop and the conditions are getting right, and especially in November, kind of the tail end of the rut, as far as deer season. So, it’s a good time to get in the deer stand whether you kill anything or not, it’s just a great time to just get away from everything and get away from the noise and the lights and the diesel fumes [laughs] and just relax and just enjoy the peace and quiet.”

    “I’m just super thankful to kind of be in a place of, I guess I feel like we’ve made it through the thick—we kept calling it, ‘Man, we’re in the thick of it.’ We had a rough last couple of years, you know, my wife and I and family, getting through the pandemic, injuries, we had our third baby, the big transition career-wise – so everything at once, it felt like our world was somewhat collapsing. So now we’re in this stage of the rebuild, and not only can we see the light at the end of the tunnel, it almost feels like we’re there. So, I just look around every day lately and I’m just so grateful to be able to be back on tour, able to play shows, my kids are healthy, we’re all happy and in a good place and getting into a rhythm and having a good balance in our life between work and family and just feeling really good. So, as I’m approaching Thanksgiving here, I’m just really kind of looking back and reflecting on this last year and how different it was last year and even the year before that, and just how grateful I am to be able to be making music and doing what I love and also being really present as a dad and getting to watch these kids grow up. It’s really a cool blessing for sure.”
