• CLARE DUNN HAS A NEW ADDITION TO HER ROAD CREW.

Clare Dunn has added to her crew on the road. She rescued a pit bull and named her Jenny. Since she’s been in Nashville, she hasn’t been able to have a dog since she’s been on the road in a van. However, when she got her first bus recently, she was able to bring her new puppy on the road.

“I just rescued a pit bill from an animal sanctuary in Lamar, Colorado. It’s an organization called LAST, L-A-S-T. It’s the Lamar Animal Sanctuary Team, and her name is Jenny, and she was in a kill shelter, and then the LAST organization came and adopted her,” says Clare. “My mom was, I think, donating or something to the organization and she came across Jenny. I haven’t been able to have a dog since I moved to Nashville ‘cause I’m gone. But now that I’ve gotten into a bus, which is huge, I can now have a dog with me. And so, my mom adopted Jenny for me, brought her home to the farm, I got to meet her over the Fourth of July when I was home, and then now she’s out with me and going on the road and just getting to be a spoiled little puppy dog, you know, and a great pal and companion for me.”

Clare, who was recently on the road with Miranda Lambert, is currently making her way up the country charts with her single, “Move On.”

(as soon as we have a photo, we’ll post it to ooh and aah over.)

  • CLARE DUNN RELEASES HER SELF-TITLED DEBUT EP THIS WEEK.

Clare Dunn releases her self-titled debut EP on Friday (September 18th) to all digital retailers. The guitar slinger co-wrote and co-produced all five songs on the collection, AND she played lead guitar on each track, including her single “Move On.”

She didn’t start playing guitar until she moved to Nashville and found she needed to learn how to play if she was going to record songs the way she already had them mapped out in her head.

“I started playing guitar out of necessity to get my sound out of my head. I realized when I came to town that when I was in the studio working with musicians, and especially guitar players, I always heard things a certain way, and I obviously lacked the vocabulary to express that,” says the Colorado native. “Through many failed attempts of trying to explain how I heard tones and effects and guitar licks and melodies, it dawned on me that, hey, I can’t explain this, then I’m probably gonna have to try it. I need to go ahead and see if it’s something I can do. So, I did. I started working at it.”

    Clare Dunn EP Track List:

    1. “Ferrari”
      2. ”Move On”
      3. “Tuxedo”
      4. “Old Hat”
      5. “Cowboy Side of You”

Audio / Clare Dunn started playing guitar when she was in college just a couple of years ago out of necessity.

I think being a singer obviously helped me play, because I could hear things and just had to find it on the guitar.”

Audio / Clare Dunn discovered her love of music while working on her family farm in Colorado.

“I did most of my music discovery as a young girl driving a tractor for most of the day – 10, 12 hours a day, you have nothing but the radio as your companion, basically, to keep you entertained. So, there was a local country radio station, and they, along with my parents’ love of music, I mean, that’s how I found Keith Urban and George Strait. My mom is a huge Waylon Jennings’ fan. And so music for me, I discovered it driving long hours on a tractor or hauling water to a cattle in a pickup by myself or through my parents’ love of music. And so, I was really fortunate that way.”

  • CLARE DUNN ANNOUNCES HEARTLAND TOUR TO ASSIST FARMING COMMUNITIES.

    image002

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 21, 2015) – Clare Dunn announces her inaugural Heartland Tour, an initiative to benefit and highlight small farming communities. Raised on a farm in Southeast Colorado with a population of approximately 30, Clare hopes to shine a light on deserving communities similar to her own. Clare established the Heartland Tour as an annual event providing exposure to a select number of struggling farming communities in the Heartland of America.

The debut Heartland Tour will be held near Clare’s hometown of Two Buttes, where her family still resides, on September 19 at The Sand and Sage Rodeo Pavilion in Lamar, CO. Tickets are available now for $15 and can be purchased here:http://claredunn.com/heartland-tour/. All net proceeds go directly back into the surrounding farming communities.

“I couldn’t be more excited to go back to Colorado and perform for the deserving farm communities near my hometown” says Clare. “My farming upbringing has been integral in shaping who I am as an artist and I am passionate on giving back to the great, hard-working people that make up these communities.”

The Heartland Tour is the first initiative of Clare’s “My Love Gives Back Fund” of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee (CFMT) and will be produced by Big Hearted Babes. The “My Love Gives Back Fund” will focus on Clare’s many philanthropic interests including farming families and communities.

Clare’s debut single “Move On” continues to climb the country airplay charts and will be featured on her self-titled EP out September 18. Fans can catch the singer/songwriter this fall as part of Miranda Lambert’s Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour as well as Chris Young’s I’m Comin’ Over Tour.

  • CLARE DUNN ANNOUNCES SELF-TITLED EP.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 12, 2015) – This morning on a live interview with SiriusXM’s The Highway, dynamic country newcomer Clare Dunn announced her forthcoming five-song EP due out September 18 on MCA Nashville. Included on the EP is Clare’s major label radio debut, “Move On,” which country star Dierks Bentley calls out as a “bad ass song” with a “totally unique vibe.”

Clare co-wrote and co-produced all five songs on her EP, presenting a gratifying blend of country and rock. NPR asserts the “Colorado-raised country newcomer is a little bit Florence, a little bit Bonnie and a whole lot rock and roll.” This magnetic rising star also plays lead guitar on every track both in the studio and in her impressive live show. Clare is a fearless performer and guitar player, drawing numerous comparisons to Bonnie Raitt and Keith Urban while recently out on tour with American rock icon Bob Seger. The Boston Globe commends Clare’s “big voice and serious guitar prowess,” while Rolling Stonenotes, “it’s easy to see why Seger himself recruited her [Clare] to open for him on his last tour.”

In addition to earning praise from Billboard, NPR, Rolling Stone, The Boston Globe, USA Today and more, Clare has been tapped to join Miranda Lambert on the Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour as well as Chris Young on the I’m Comin’ Over Tour this fall.

Clare Dunn (recording studio) OC: …whatever. :51
“That thrill and that moment, that realization that ‘Oh my God, this is real. I really get to do this.’ I dreamed for so long of actually getting to go and work in my own studio and be able to have place that I could call my own. I’m not having to worry about being kicked of, like am I sneaking in here in somebody else’s session? It was my space and my little world. It was my piece of the world that I got to just do whatever I wanted, and that freedom of that was something that I never experienced and so I just soaked it up. I tried to get them to let me bring a couch in there so I could sleep. And they were like “Ehh well, you’re going to need a shower. We don’t want you running around here smelling up the place and whatever.’”

  • CLARE DUNN IS FEATURED ON ONE OF THE ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR’S HIT SONGS.

Clare Dunn has hit the airwaves with her single, “Move On,” but it’s not the first time she’s been on the radio. She sang background vocals on a certain superstar’s hit song a few years ago while she was still in college.

“I was writing a lot at the time with Jeff Stephens, who is Luke [Bryan’s] producer,” Clare recalls. “Jeff and I had been working together and then one day he just said, ‘Hey, I’ve got this song that I’m working on with Luke, and maybe you want to sing a part? You want to sing backup?’ And I said, ‘Sure! Tell me where to be and what time to be there.’ I showed up to the studio a couple of days later and sang the song.”

The Colorado native wasn’t sure if her vocals made Luke’s smash “Country Girl [Shake It For Me],” until she heard it on the radio.

“Me and my sister were in her pickup cruising down the road. She’d picked me up from the airport and we were in the Oklahoma Panhandle somewhere, and she was flipping through the radio stations. And I heard about two seconds of it, and I was like, ‘Wait a minute. I know that song.’ I said, ‘Tayla, go back.’ So, she put it back on the station, and right then, the chorus kicked in and I heard myself,” she says. “I was like, ‘WWHaat?!’ And so that was the first time I heard myself on the radio, and I was like, ‘I know that voice! Wait a minute! That’s me! They kept my part! Ahhhh!’ So, I knew then that they kept it.” [laughs]

Clare is set to tour with Miranda Lambert on her Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour this fall.

You want to sing backup?’ And I said, ‘Sure! Tell me where to be and what time to be there.’ I showed up to the studio a couple of days later and sang the song. Any time you’re making a record, you don’t know necessarily what’s going to be kept, what’s not going to be kept, and that’s just the way it can go sometimes. So, I sang the part and I didn’t think much about it, and I left the studio and went about my business.”
