MOTHER’S DAY 2018
Mother’s Day is on Sunday (May 13th), and some of your favorite country artists are celebrating the mothers in their lives this weekend. In 1914, Woodrow Wilson signed a proclamation designating Mother’s Day, held on the second Sunday in May, as a national holiday to honor mothers.

THE NOMINATIONS FOR THIS YEAR’S CMT MUSIC AWARDS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED.
Carrie Underwood leads the list of nominees for this year’s CMT Music Awards nominations with four. Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line also have four nods as well. Carrie is nominated for Female Video, Collaborative Video and overall Video of the Year for “The Champion,” as well as for the CMT Performance of the Year Award for her performance with Keith Urban on “The Fighter” at last year’s CMT Music Awards.
Little Big Town, who have been announced as hosts for the show, have three nominations, including Group Video of the Year for “When Someone Stops Loving You,” as well as two entries in the CMT Performance of the Year category for “Stand Up for Something” at the 2017 CMT Artists of the Year show, which also featured Andra Day, Common, Lee Ann Womack and Danielle Bradbery; as well as for “I Won’t Back Down” with Keith Urban, Chris Stapleton and Jason Aldean at the 2017 CMT Artists of the Year show.

LITTLE BIG TOWN PICK UP THE CMT AWARD FOR GROUP VIDEO OF THE YEAR.
Little Big Town took home the Group Video of the Year trophy for “When Someone Stops Loving You” during last night’s CMT Music Awards, which they also hosted.
“Country music fans, we love you,” said LBT’s Kimberly Schlapman.
“Thank you so much! We are so grateful. This is very unexpected. This song…we just love this song and we are so thankful for you guys for voting for it,” added bandmate Phillip Sweet.
The four just released their new single, “Summer Fever,” which they perfomed on the CMT Music Awards Wednesday night.

LITTLE BIG TOWN’S VIDEO FOR ‘SUMMER FEVER’ WILL PREMIERE JUNE 7TH ACROSS SEVERAL CHANNELS.
Little Big Town’s latest single “Summer Fever” is set for release June 6th with the television debut performance happening on the 2018 CMT Music Awards that night. The official music video will make its world premiere in a special cross-channel debut on CMT, CMT Music, MTV Live and MTVU the following morning. A countdown clock began today counting down the minutes until the day of the big premiere.
The video, directed by TK McKamy, will begin airing at 4am EST on CMT and 6am EST on CMT Music every hour throughout music hours. Fans can get an early preview beginning at Midnight EST on Wednesday, June 6 exclusively on CMT.com. The video will also air across MTV Live, MTVU and be featured along with new interviews in a special Music Awards edition of “CMT Hot 20 Countdown” airing June 9th and 10th at 9 a.m. EST.The video was shot along Florida’s stunning 30A coastline and features Jimi, Karen, Kimberly, and Phillip biking through Watersound Beach, strolling along the boardwalk, and ending in a full-blown beach party alongside two of the song’s co-writers Jesse Frasure and Cary Barlowe.CMT and Little Big Town are partnering all week with the foursome serving as hosts for Country Music’s loudest night, the 2018 Music Awards. This will mark the first time the group has hosted a major award show. Historically, the band has launched previous #1 summer hits on the CMT Music Awards with “Pontoon” in 2012 and “Day Drinking” in 2014. -
LITTLE BIG TOWN WILL RELEASE A NEW SONG, JUST IN TIME FOR ‘SUMMER.’
GRAMMY, CMA, CMT, and ACM award-winning country supergroup, Little Big Town, is set to release the song of the summer, “Summer Fever,” Wednesday, June 6th to Country radio and all digital service providers.
LBT’s Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet, and Jimi Westbrook will open the 2018 CMT Music Awards that same day with a performance of “Summer Fever” and continue as the night’s hosts for the duration of the show.
The track, co-written by Fairchild, Jesse Frasure, Cary Barlowe, and Sam Romans features Fairchild on lead vocals and encapsulates the spirit of summertime with an infectious melody and nostalgic guitar tones set against the group’s famous four-part harmonies. “Summer Fever” was co-produced by Frasure and Shane McAnally and mixed by Spike Stent in Los Angeles.
“It’s always amazing when a song seems to just wait for its own perfect timing,” said Frasure. “Getting the chance to bring this song to life in the writing room with my co-writers, and through the opportunity to co-produce with my friend Shane McAnally has been a dream come true. I can’t wait to hear this song coming out of a rolled down window this Summer.”

LITTLE BIG TOWN RELEASE INTERSTELLAR VIDEO FOR ‘ROCKET MAN.’
Little Big Town released the video for their version of “Rocket Man” this week. The song appears on the tribute album, Restoration: Reimagining the Songs of Elton John and Bernie Taupin, which is available now. Check out the video below.
The group will host next week’s CMT Music Awards, which will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena at 8pm ET on CMT.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD AND LITTLE BIG TOWN HAVE BEEN ADDED TO THE LIST OF PERFORMERS FOR THIS YEAR’S CMT MUSIC AWARDS.
Carrie Underwood and hosts Little Big Town have been added to the list of performers at this year’s CMT Music Awards, in addition to Dan + Shay and Florida Georgia Line. A few special collaborations have been announced for the show, as well. Dierks Bentley will perform with tour mates Brothers Osborne and Darius Rucker will be joined by tour mate Charles Kelley (Lady Antebellum), Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean.
Carrie has four nominations, including Female Video of the Year, Video of the Year and Collaborative Video of the Year for “The Champion” featuring Ludacris. She’s also nominated for CMT Performance of the Year with Keith Urban for “The Fighter” at last year’s CMT Music Awards.
