CHARLES KELLEY PRAISED FOR ‘THE DRIVER.’
Dubbed by Entertainment Weekly as “one of the best voices in Music City” and landing on their “Must List,” Friday Charles Kelley released his first-ever solo album THE DRIVER (Capitol Records Nashville).“Kelley’s soulful tone and incredible range shines on the album” (Huffington Post) with the nine-track disc already garnering attention from critics.“It’s polished yet immensely supple, a collection with room for his rousing mythologies of music’s pull, patient seduction and autobiographical confessions.” – NPR“He relies on his strength, love songs in the key of blue-eyed soul: the elegantly aching ‘I Wish You Were Here’ (with Miranda Lambert singing lovely harmony) and ‘Lonely Girl,’ which shuffles with a kind of prim swagger.” – New York Times“A theme album in an age of singles, ‘The Driver’ is another fine example that country music is poised to shift away stifling trends and strive toward a more individually expressive era.” – Associated Press“Kelley can be the captain of his own ship, steering ‘The Driver’ into territory not often explored…it’s intimate, introspective stuff.” – Rolling Stone“Charles Kelley is taking a risk — and it’s paying off…It’s nice to see that Kelley has many facets when it comes to music. One of the best is that he continues to stay true to himself — all while telling stories. This is an artist who knows which lane he wants to be in, pushes forward and remains ‘The Driver.’” – Albuquerque Journal“Charles Kelley is going out on his own with his excellent first solo album…when you hear the Kelley solo album you will want more of the man on his own. His strong voice, plus producer Paul Worley’s excellent contributions should have this just-released album climbing to the top of the charts. What a debut this is.” – The Virginian-Pilot“Strong vocals shine on each cut.” – St. Louis DispatchAdditionally, Kelley will hit the road on for THE DRIVER TOUR picked up by Enterprise this spring with special guest Josh Kelley launching April 9 in Washington, D.C. at The Fillmore. Each ticket transaction will include a download of the new album.Stepping outside of Lady Antebellum, one of the world’s most popular groups, Kelley’s THE DRIVER was produced by Paul Worley and features appearances from Miranda Lambert, Stevie Nicks, Dierks Bentley and Eric Paslay. For the album, Kelley explores new territory with a raw sound that pushes his vocals into a lower, grittier key. In addition to his success as part of seven-time GRAMMY award-winning trio Lady Antebellum, Kelley has also penned No. one hits recorded by Luke Bryan and Darius Rucker. CHARLES KELLEY HAS RELEASED HIS DEBUT SOLO ALBUM, THE DRIVER.
Charles Kelley has stepped out from his band Lady Antebellum and released his debut solo album, The Driver. The nine-song collection includes the title cut, which features Dierks Bentley and Eric Paslay, as well as a couple of other appearances by Stevie Nicks on the Tom Petty cover, “Southern Accents,” and Miranda Lambert on “I Wish You Were Here.” “Round in Circles,” marks the first time that Charles and his brother, Josh Kelley, recorded together since Josh’s early work. The last song recorded forThe Driver is “The Only One Who Gets Me,” which is the first time the Georgia native has written a song specifically for and about his wife, Cassie, who is pregnant with the couple’s first child.
“I want people when they hear the record to, I guess, know that I wasn’t chasing anything with this. I just wanted to make music that I believed in,” says Charles. “I hope too that they get to hear my voice in a little more of a raw environment, and this is how I’ve always wanted my voice to sound. I tried to kind of get into a little more of a richer tone, so I want people when they walk away to go, ‘Wow! I didn’t know he could sing.’”
This spring, Charles will hit the road on The Driver Tour, and he’s taking along his brother Josh Kelley for the ride. The two-month tour kicks off April 9th at The Fillmore in Washington, D.C.

SUPER BOWL 2016: Canaan, Darius, Easton, Lady A, LBT, Lady A
This Sunday (February 7th), millions of people around the world will be tuning in to the Super Bowl (the Big Game), including some of your favorite country artists. Some will be rooting for the Denver Broncos, while others will be pulling for the Carolina Panthers to win the Big Game. Canaan Smith, Darius Rucker, Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum, Easton Corbin and Little Big Town are definitely fans of football.
Sam Hunt will perform at the annual tailgate party preceding Sunday’s game, along with pop star Seal.
Audio / Canaan Smith always has a good time watching the Super Bowl.

“Super Bowl’s all about pizza and commercials. You gotta sit down, you gotta drink your beer, get a little buzz. It’s pepperoni and banana peppers for me and my family. We sit down, we have a a good time, we have friends over. We have a nice TV, plenty of space. We have a good time. Usually, when it’s all said and done, we have a little dance party afterwards too. It’s cool.”Audio / Darius Rucker is a HUGE football fan, as everyone probably knows by now. He even has a special man cave with probably six or seven (or more) televisions mounted on the wall to catch all of the games being played during the season. He explains why he loves football so much. SIDENOTE: He’s a huge Miami Dolphins fan, and word has it, just to be able to meet then Dolphins quarterback, Dan Marino, he asked him to be in a Hootie & the Blowfish video for “Only Wanna Be With You.”

“Ever since I was five years old, I’ve loved football, and I love how physical it is. I love the chess match of the game. I love the speed of the game. I love college football, but for me watching pro football is better because the speed is so much more. For me, there’s two times a year, man — football season and waiting for football season.”Audio / Easton Corbin says you can’t go on the bus during football season without a game being on the television.

“That’s all that’s on the bus on the weekends. That’s it, and we’ve got three TVs on the bus, so that’s all that’s on.”Audio / The members of Lady Antebellum reveal their favorite tailgate foods, just in time for the Big Game.

HILLARY: “Honestly, chips and salsa, salsa or cheese dip or something. That’s like what I always go for. I could eat that every meal. No joke.” DAVE: “Best tailgate food is a big ole burger soaked in Dale’s sauce. That’s all you need.” HILLARY: “Or bratwurst. I forgot that. Those are good.” CHARLES: “Cold beer! A couple of little finger foods, but without cold beer, it’s not football watching.”Audio / Little Big Town’s beautiful and talented Karen Fairchild was a badass growing up when she was playing quarterback for her powder puff football team.

“I was the quarterback to my powder puff team. I was running the ball and I came around the corner – this was in high school – and a foreign exchange student, I think her name was Inga (KIMBERLY: “Inga.”), and I didn’t want to fumble ‘cause my brother and my dad were there, and I come from this very athletic family, so I held onto the ball. I knew I was going to go down, so I let my head hit first and I bit all the way through, but I didn’t fumble and I had a hole in my face, though. The sad thing is that it was just flag football, but I left my flags on and cleats and everything, ‘cause it looked cool, and I had blood running all down my jersey. I went to the emergency room like that, and they sewed up my lip.”Audio / Luke Bryan talks about some of the food he likes to have while watching the Super Bowl.
DownloadLuke Bryan (Super Bowl food) OC: …over again. :22
“Definitely Super Bowl is like the queso, the Frito Lay scoops with the Ro-tel situation. I guess it’s like, what’s the black-eyed pea stuff too? All of that, just stuff that you can sit there and have lots of sodium, and then just, it’s like Thanksgiving all over again.” -
DIERKS BENTLEY WILL BE FEATURED IN HIS OWN COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME EXHIBIT.
Dierks Bentley is the latest superstar to be featured in an exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The Dierks Bentley: Every Mile a Memory will open March 4th and run through September 6th.
“It’s crazy to be considered for something like this,” Dierks says in a statement. “The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is home to the most revered and influential country artists of all time. Just being in the building as a visitor is humbling, but to actually be featured in one of the museum’s exhibits is something I never would have believed if you’d suggested it back when I started chasing this dream down on Broadway. I’m going to have to go down there to see it for myself to really make it sink in.”
He’ll do an intimate Q & A and acoustic performance at the Hall in the CMA Theater March 12th. Among the items on display will include guitars, lyrics and stage clothes.
Every Mile a Memory is named after his 2006 No. 1 single will trace his journey from Phoenix to Nashville, including his early days playing for tips in honky tonks on Lower Broad in Nashville to his current headline tours.
Dierks is making his way up the country charts with his latest single, “Somewhere on a Beach,” which is from his upcoming album, Black, due out later this year.

VINCE GILL PREPS FOR ALBUM RELEASE WEEK.
There’s a new synonym for “everywhere” and it’s “Vince Gill.”
Thanks to the excitement being generated by the February 12th release of his new album—Down To My Last Bad Habit—Vince will be involving fans more intimately in more ways than ever before.
“Take Me Down,” the first single from the album, features vocal assists by Little Big Town and has already been shipped to radio. “A masterful appraisal of the volcanic force of love,” one critic calls it. Hear it at http://www.npr.org/2015/11/19/456382190/songs-we-love-vince-gill-take-me-down.
Starting today, fans can preview the entire album on National Public Radio’s “First Listen” site at http://www.npr.org/2016/02/03/464899204/first-listen-vince-gill-down-to-my-last-bad-habit?sc=tw
Vince’s skills as a storyteller are legendary. A first of its kind audio-documentary, a Spotify playlist has been created to capture Vince’s engaging tales of the music business and the stars he’s worked with along the way—in three categories: Vince Gill: A Musician’s Heart, Vince Gill: The Vocalist and Vince Gill: The Creator. Listening to these inside accounts is the closest thing to being a guest in Vince’s living room. To listen, follow these Spotify links:
http://smarturl.it/VGTheMusician
http://smarturl.it/VGTheVocalist1
http://smarturl.it/VGTheCreator1
Vince has played, sung and/or written songs on more than 500 albums by other artists. And he’s produced projects beyond these. So what could be more natural—or delightful—than a diversion called “Six Degrees Of Vince Gill”? Fans can enter any musician’s name to discover the degrees of separation the musical figure has from Vince. Want to know the number of degrees between Vince and, say, Adele? It’s two. Check it out for yourself at 6degreesofvincegill.com.
The famed Ernest Tubb Record Shop on Nashville’s Lower Broadway, the city’s live-music center and most heavily visited thoroughfare, has been transformed into a special Vince Gill pop up store. It features a giant outdoor photo of the new album cover and inside there’s a Vince Gill kiosk displaying his MCA Records catalog. The store also includes other artifacts, such as limited edition Vince Gill t-shirts, guitar picks and more. It is the only store at which CD copies of Down To My Last Bad Habit can be purchased before the release date.
But it takes more than a monster album launch to keep Vince away from sports. He and his 14-year-old daughter, Corrina, sang the national anthem for the world-televised NHL All-Star game in Nashville on Jan. 31. And he and wife Amy Grant served as celebrity coaches. Icing the cake, Gill served as honorary Mayor of Smashville—along with the real mayor, Megan Barry—during the game weekend, Jan. 29 – 31.
The Grand Ole Opry will celebrate Vince’s 25-year membership in that hallowed institution with two Vince-headlined shows Aug. 13.

Sam will perform prior to the big matchup between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers, and both his performance will be televised as part of CBS’s Super Bowl Sunday pregame show, The Super Bowl Today.
The Georgia native is looking forward to playing at this year’s Super Bowl. “I’m just looking forward to being in the middle of Super Bowl energy. It’s become such a massive pop culture event, and I love that they’ve incorporated music and entertainment with the sport itself and the entertainment value that comes from that,” says Sam. “It encompasses just a strong representation of American culture, and I’m looking forward to being in the middle of all that positive energy. I’m a huge music fan, obviously, and I’m a huge sports fan, so those are two of my favorite worlds combined there.”
Sam recently earned his first-ever GRAMMY nominations for Best New Artist and Best Country Album. The Grammys will be handed out live February 15th on CBS.
Sam’s debut album, Montevallo, topped the Billboard Country Albums Chart in its first week, and it remains the best-selling debut album for a country artist since 2011.
