• PRISCILLA BLOCK WRAPS WELCOME TO THE BLOCK PARTY TOUR WITH 11 SOLD OUT SHOWS.

Priscilla Block is one of country music’s most exciting young stars with her undeniable voice, candid lyrics, self-made status, and loyal following. Priscilla recently wrapped her first ever headlining tour with 11 sold out shows. Priscilla’s WELCOME TO THE BLOCK PARTY TOUR had fans singing every word in packed venues from Huntsville, Atlanta, Oxford, and Knoxville to Columbia (Mo.), Peoria, Houston, and Dallas. Hitting 15 markets overall, Priscilla performed all of her music from her debut album Welcome to the Block Party (Mercury Nashville) released in February including the RIAA Gold-certified “Just About Over You,” the body positive anthem “Thick Thighs,” and current radio single, “My Bar.”

“This tour has honestly been the highlight of the past couple years. It’s realizing in person, in real time, this is working,” says Priscilla, who has dreamt of and worked towards this moment since high school. “The fans are unreal! They show up singing every single song, drinks in hand, with their hoops on and hair up high. I’m over the moon! This is what I want to do forever, and I want to keep building that hard ticket to get to stadiums one day, baby!”

Bringing a lyrically driven blend of Country-Pop and Southern Rock – a.k.a. the “Block Party” sound – to Nashville’s evolving musical landscape, Pricilla earned a New Female Artist of the Year nod at this year’s ACM Awards and she recently performed at the CMT Music Awards where she was nominated for Breakthrough Video of the Year for “Just About Over You.”

“It was a real pleasure having Priscilla Block at Coyote Joes on April 8th! First of all, she did massive numbers, then it was followed by a kick ass concert with all of her fans singing every word to every song! It truly was an amazing night enjoyed by everyone, and we can’t wait to have her back! Priscilla is on fire!”
    – Alan Presley (Owner, Charlotte’s Coyote Joe’s)

Priscilla continues her busy tour schedule through the summer including her first time performing at Nashville’s famed CMA Music Fest and upcoming tour dates with Jon Pardi.

Priscilla is currently making her way up the country charts with her latest single, “My Bar.”

  • PRISCILLA BLOCK LOOKS UP TO ANOTHER MULTI-TALENTED BLONDE SINGER.

It was a dream-come-true moment for Priscilla Block when she got to meet and talk with the iconic Dolly Parton as she co-hosted the red carpet at this year’s ACM Awards in Las Vegas. The pair definitely have a few things in common, including a songwriting gift, being talented performers and musicians and both petite songstresses have blonde hair. Priscilla admires and respects the global superstar and business woman for many things, including her talent.

“I would say one female country legend that I look up to would be Dolly Parton,” she says. “I love how honest she is and she’s always just embraced who she is as a woman, and I love that so much. Big hair, big hoops and…you know what’s next. (laughs) I love me some Dolly.”

Priscilla is currently making her way across the country on her Welcome To The Block Party Tour, as well as heading up the country charts with her latest song, “My Bar.”

“We would always have the Easter Egg Hunt before church. You know, my mom, she would dress us in these ridiculous, pastel-colored, gosh, good Lord, I’m sorry for saying this, but the worst part about Easter for me is some of the photos I have of what my mom dressed us in. It was hideous! But yeah, that was it growing up. We would have our Easter Egg Hunt, and I think for me early on, and probably like a lot of kids, Easter was another Sunday where it was a very mini, mini Christmas. We’d get some candy, every once in a while, we’d get a present, something that we wanted, we’d go to church, and everybody looked great. It was like the day to wear the new dress or the guys had these crazy ties on or something like that. And it really wasn’t until, I think, I was able to kinda hit my high school years and kind of start to strengthen my faith that I realized how special that holiday was.”

My parents would always dress us up in these really cute springy outfits. But, yeah, Easter with family is always so much fun.” MADDIE: “Our Easter was very similar. My grandma would always get us this white chocolate cross with little flowers on it. It was so delicious. And me and my sister typically had matching dresses, which annoyed me at the time, but looking back it was precious. But Easter for us, Tae and I love us some Jesus! That is our favorite dude ever! (TAE: “That’s what Easter means.”) And so Easter is all about praising Jesus for his sacrifice so that we can know God and Him and just live a life full of purpose and hope and joy.”

The Mercury Nashville recording artist has been on a whirlwind ride since her viral hit “Just About Over You” captured a devoted fanbase, garnered Block her first RIAA Certified Gold single, and led to her debut album, Welcome To The Block Party.

“In an album full of personality, ear candy melodies and Block’s stellar voice that sparkles across a dozen tracks, the energetic 26-year-old balances the bleak moments with a healthy dose of humor.” – Sounds Like Nashville

“It’s a refreshing and accomplished pop-country debut album, and an ambitious one too… The sheer scale of some of the album’s choruses – on “My Bar,” “Heels in Hand,” “Wish You Were the Whiskey” and others – recalls the power country of the 1990s and early 2000s, when the genre was taking its cues from arena rock, and when its pop ambitions were unfettered. Nothing about this album is shy.” – The New York Times

  • PRISCILLA BLOCK BROUGHT “WELCOME TO THE BLOCK PARTY” TO LIFE IN THE STUDIO.

Priscilla Block brought her debut album, Welcome To The Block Party, to life in the recording studio, and she loved every single minute of the entire process.

“I absolutely love being in the studio,” says Priscilla. “You know, when I wrote these songs (for Welcome To The Block Party), I have this thing in my head where I envision how it sounds. So, it’s so cool to get there and see the musicians playing along with the song and really seeing it come to life fully. It was so fun being in the recording process with some of my best guy friends. We all got to collab on this project and make it exactly what it is today.”

Priscilla, who recently released her new single “My Bar,” will host the ACM Red Carpet on Monday (March 7th) and then head across the pond to perform during the three-night C2C Festival beginning March 11th in London, followed by stops in Glasgow (March 12th) and Dublin (March 13th).

  • CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY ON TUESDAY, MARCH 8TH.

Tuesday (March 8th) is International Women’s Day, which is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. International Women’s Day has been observed since the early 1900’s.

Many of your favorite female country artists are also celebrating this day in honor of women everywhere and of their influences and inspirations.

Carrie Underwood (Musical influences) OC: …do it too. :54
“I think my biggest influences musically, or career-wise, would have to be women like Reba, like Dolly, like Faith Hill, like Martina McBride. You see all of these women just juggle everything masterfully and many of them are moms and they’re superstars and they’re talented, and you know, I know how hard they work because I’m in their shoes somewhat and doing the same juggling. You know, you have the kids and the career and you’re just trying to crush everything you do and being pulled in a million different directions. And to see women like that who are just beautiful and smart and strong and talented, knowing that they have come first and they’re still getting to do what they love and they’re still getting to be the mom and the wife and all the things – that’s just such an inspiration to me and just lets me know that I can do it too.”

I begged my Dad to bring me, and I just remembered sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to see what she’d sing or say next. Loretta Lynn has been such an inspiration to me and all of the women who came before me – Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette, Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, all the way to Miranda Lambert and the legends of today. It’s unreal how many amazing women I have been given in this world to look up to.”

It was my first concert ever, and I will always remember sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to just see what she was gonna sing or say next. The power she had on stage is something you don’t see much; there’s a magic there. I think that when a woman tells her story – a woman like Loretta Lynn – everyone should listen.”

“I could on and on about Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline and Tammy Wynette and Reba and Dolly, but I want to actually mention a few friends that I’ve recently made in this year of quarantine and that’s Miranda Lambert and Ashley McBryde and Tenille Townes, these women that I’ve really gotten to connect with over this time in random group messages and such. I‘m just so very grateful that not only do I have women that have paved the way for us coming up in the country music industry, but I also have amazing women around me that I get to celebrate every single time that they put a new song out or win an award. I feel like I’ve found a family in country music, in the women of country music and I just couldn’t be more grateful.”

“When I think of my most memorable moment as a country music fan of a female artist, it would have to be when I was really little sitting crisscross-applesauce on the carpet looking up at the TV watching the Chicks perform on the CMA Awards. They were performing ‘Sin Wagon.’ There were CGI flames on the screen and gates opened up and they just tore it up. It’s still to this day is one of my favorite performances to watch over and over on Youtube. I remember looking up at the screen and thinking that that is exactly what I want to do.”

Kylie Morgan (International Women’s Day) OC: …so young. :21
“For me, International Women’s Day is not only about women supporting women but also looking up to other women. And the very first tiny woman, actually, I ever looked up to was Shirley Temple. Not only was she a child star, but she never let her age hold her back. And I feel like I continue to grow up with that mentality and why I started my career so young.”

You are really good at living in the moment, I feel like; very good at being present and I always pick that up from you every time we hang out. (TAE SAYS, “Your joy inspires me.”) My mom, she is just a baddie and amazing. I would say our manager Haley. She is just so great at balancing work life and family life, and I really admire that. And I would say, I don’t know. All the women in my life – my sister, my sister-in-laws, my mother-in-law. I love ‘em all. My grandma…everybody!”

“I was eight-years-old, and my church, I grew up singing in the church, and my church drove to Arlington [Texas] from Waco to go see a Texas Rangers baseball game. We were all the way up in the nosebleed section, and the announcer says, ‘Please rise as 10-year-old LeAnn Rimes sings the National Anthem,’ and that was before ‘Blue’ came out. I was already stuck on her, and then when ‘Blue’ came out, I was just like done.”

Audio / MICKEY GUYTON TALKS ABOUT THE FEMALE COUNTRY ARTISTS SHE ADMIRED GROWING UP.

    Download

Mickey Guyton (on pursuing a career as a singer) OC: …all those people. :50
“It wasn’t like something where I was like, ‘Dad, I want to be a professional singer.’ It wasn’t until I was older when I finally admitted it. When you say something like that, it’s pretty crazy. What are we normally supposed to be? We’re supposed to be a teacher, a doctor, a lawyer, go to school and for me to even say that was just kind of crazy. So, I took an interest in singing. I started doing solos in the church choir or the school had a talent show. I’d bring my boom box, and I’d sing ‘I Will Always Love You.’ I was just mesmerized by big-voiced women, so from LeAnn, I started listening to Dolly and Patsy Cline and Patty Loveless and Reba McEntire and Faith Hill and Martina McBride, all those people.”

She was there when we needed to laugh and when we needed to cry, and she was also there when we needed a little kick in the butt.”

Audio / Priscilla Block says her favorite compliment from another woman is that she helps make them feel confident about themselves.

“I would say that my favorite compliment that I’ve received from a woman is that I made them feel comfortable in their own skin. You know, it’s something that doesn’t come easy all of the time, and it’s something that I’ve worked on my whole life on feeling comfortable, so when another girl says, ‘Yeah, you make me feel confident,’ it means the world.”

Audio / A few years ago, Taylor Swift said Reba McEntire was one of her favorite people in the world.

“Reba is absolutely one of my favorite people on this planet. And yk, I think when you’re making your way up in the music industry, you have all these heroes and the reasons why they’re your heroes are one thing, and then as soon as you kind of get in the industry, your guidelines change a little bit. For me, my heroes now are great people first and great artists second – people that I just feel strive to be great people and kind people first before anything else gets factored in.”

Being on the Ellen DeGeneres Show has been something Priscilla had dreamed about since she was a child. “Going on the Ellen show has been something I have dreamed of since I was little. I mean I used to sit there with my mom watching Ellen every single day. I actually put a picture of Ellen on my vision board for last year, and I just thought that would be something so amazing to achieve in my career, and I didn’t think it would happen this year with this being this her final season. So, it’s just such an honor that I get to go on the show and live this out, and I’m so nervous like what am I gonna do? What am I gonna wear? I don’t know, but you can watch it all go down on live TV.”

Priscilla, who recently earned her first ACM nomination for “New Female Artist of the Year” has been one of the most touted new acts out of Nashville over the past year. She has landed on “Artist to Watch” lists by Amazon Music, Spotify, MusicRow, PANDORA, Sounds Like Nashville, and more. Since her first release in 2020, she has surpassed over 250 million digital streams (and counting.)
