    • March 2022: 23, 25, 26, 30

Carrie is super excited for her residency in Vegas. “When you think about Las Vegas, you do think about incredible shows, and to be a part of that legacy is exciting.”

She joins global music stars Celine Dion, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan as the founding headliners at the Strip’s highly-anticipated new 3,500-room luxury destination.

Of the title of her residency, she says of “Reflection,” “We want to do our hits. We want to reflect upon all the things that we’ve been so blessed to be able to have accomplished over the past few years and that I’ve been lucky enough to do this,” she says. “And then obviously when you think about a staging standpoint, Reflection is, you can do a lot with that visually. So, it just seemed like a great concept as far as what we could do with it on stage and also having that kind of personal reflection being able to look back on all of the things that we’ve been able to do.”

Additionally, $1 from each ticket sold for REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency will be donated to Make-A-Wish Foundation of America (https://wish.org), which grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Carrie has been involved with the organization for more than 15 years, granting wishes since the beginning of her recording career.

  • CARRIE UNDERWOOD’S DEBUT ALBUM, SOME HEARTS, CERTIFIED 9x PLATINUM BY RIAA.

Seven-time GRAMMY® Award winner and three-time ACM Entertainer of the Year Carrie Underwood has added two new career milestones with the Recording Industry Association of America® (RIAA) 9x Platinum certification of her 2005 debut album, Some Hearts, and the 7x Platinum certification of her global smash hit single from that album, “Before He Cheats.”

The superstar was surprised with plaques to commemorate the certifications by Jackie Jones, RIAA Vice President, Artist & Industry Relations at her October 23 performance at the Grand Ole Opry.

Underwood has sold more than 66 million records worldwide, recorded 28 #1 singles (14 of which she co-wrote), and has seven albums that are certified Platinum or Multi-Platinum by the RIAA. In just over 15 years, she has already skyrocketed to the top of Gold and Platinum history with over 70 million certifications. Additionally:

    • Underwood continues her reign as the number one certified Country female artist in music history for digital singles.
    • Some Hearts, which was released by Arista Nashville in 2005 and produced by Mark Bright and Dan Huff, is the 6th, and most recent, Country album to achieve 9x Platinum. Underwood now joins Garth Brooks and Taylor Swift as the only three Country artists to release and certify an album that high in the past 16 years.
    • “Before He Cheats,” written by Josh Kear and Chris Tompkins, is the 11th, and most recent, Country song to achieve 7x Platinum.

Most recently, five singles from Cry Pretty have been certified by the RIAA, including the Platinum-certified singles “The Champion featuring Ludacris” and “Southbound” and the Gold-certified “Cry Pretty,” “Love Wins,” and “Drinking Alone.” All nine of her consecutive album releases (two of which she co-produced) from the beginning of her career debuted #1 on the Billboard Country Chart, making her the only artist to accomplish that feat.

Underwood’s ninth album, My Savior, was released in March, featuring the beloved gospel hymns she grew up singing in church, which she co-produced with a multi-platinum selling, four-time GRAMMY® Award-winning record producer and songwriter David Garcia.  Her Christmas album, My Gift (Special Edition), was released September 24, featuring three additional tracks, and debuted at #1 on Billboard’s first Top Holiday Albums chart of this holiday season.  HBO Max is currently streaming “My Gift: A Christmas Special From Carrie Underwood,” which premiered in December 2020, a musical holiday special, with Carrie performing songs from My Gift with a full orchestra and choir, becoming an instant holiday classic.  Her hit duet with Jason Aldean, “If I Didn’t Love You,” is currently #1 at Country Radio and she recently collaborated for the first time with Dan + Shay on “Only Us” from the Dear Evan Hansen (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack).

  • CARRIE UNDERWOOD SAYS “IF I DIDN’T LOVE YOU” WAS THE PERFECT DUET FOR HER AND JASON ALDEAN.

Carrie Underwood and JasonAldean have been wanting to record together for some time now, and when she heard “If I Didn’t Love You,” she felt it might be the perfect fit for the two of them.

“Jason asked if I would sing ‘If I Didn’t Love You’ with him. I knew I liked the song, and Jason and I have actually been kind of trying to do things together over the years. We’ve sang together before, but we’ve never officially recorded anything together,” says Carrie. “It just kind of felt like this could be our moment. I felt like it was a little bit of an unexpected duet to other people, but I feel like I kinda always knew at some point I’d probably sing with him officially, and this just seemed like, the stars were aligning and it just seemed like it was going to be the perfect fit.”

The fiery new track was produced by Jason’s longtime friend and collaborator Michael Knox, and written by his bandmates Kurt Allison and Tully Kennedy along with John Morgan and Lydia Vaughan.

“We were pretty close to finishing up this album, but this song came in and we knew we had to record it,” Jason said in a press release. “I went ahead and put my vocals down while we asked Carrie in the meantime. Luckily she loved the song and it was kind of like a rocket from there. She did her thing…and I don’t know how, but she made it sound even better than what we expected. It’s a really special song to start this album.”

When recording the heart pounding duet, as Jason says above, it started with Jason laying down his parts solo in the studio, then Carrie came in to record her parts…however, they also put some finishing touches on the song together.

“When Jason and I recorded ‘If I Didn’t Love You,’ he had actually done a little bit of the groundwork on his own, just to save some time and then he came to the studio when I was putting in my part and then he kind of went back and added a little bit more onto it,” she says. “So, there was a little bit of recording separately and some recording together, and I feel that’s the best way to do it. You have to see what the other person’s bringing, and it’s a little intimidating when you get into the studio with another artist, so for you to have your individual time and your together time I feel like is kind of the best way to do it. But it definitely added to the vibe of everything to have him there when I was recording my stuff. We were able to bounce things off of each other and get feedback in real time, which is really cool.”

The duet is available now and can be found on Jason’s upcoming album, Macon, which will be available November 12th.

Carrie, who just released a special edition of her first Christmas album My Gift, is set to perform on the Grand Ole Opry this Saturday (October 23rd) followed by her Las Vegas residency, Reflection, which begins December 1st at the Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas.

Carrie Underwood has won the 2021 Gospel Music Association Dove Award for Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year for her collaboration with gospel superstar CeCe Winans, “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” from Underwood’s critically-acclaimed album of gospel hymns, My Savior, which was also nominated for Bluegrass/Country/Roots Album of the Year.  Winners were announced by the Gospel Music Association on October 22.  Underwood won her first Dove Award in 2006 for “Jesus Take The Wheel” for Country Recorded Song of the Year.

My Savior was released this past March and the album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country chart, making it her ninth consecutive release to do so, extending her record as the only artist to accomplish that feat with all nine of her album releases from the beginning of her career. The album was brought to life with a virtual livestreamed event from the legendary Ryman Auditorium on Easter Sunday which was viewed by nearly 2.5 million fans around the world and raised over $112,000 for Save the Children. The My Savior: LIVE From The Ryman concert DVD and television special, which also featured Winans as a special guest, were released in July.

The 52nd Annual GMA Dove Awards were broadcast worldwide on Friday, October 22 on TBN.  Founded in 1964, the Gospel Music Association serves as the face and voice for the Gospel/Christian music community and is dedicated to exposing, promoting, and celebrating the Gospel through music of all styles.

“I feel like one thing I will never forget about the day CeCe and I recorded  ‘Great Is Thy Faithfulness ‘ together is when she walked in she was like ‘oh, thank you for having me’ I was like ‘Oh my gosh, thank you so much for coming.’ And she’s like ‘I love this song so much,’ and she said, ‘because he IS faithful.’ And obviously she has this incredible gift from God and uses it, you know, to give back to God, but for her to come in and just like, “Oh my gosh, you believe what you’re singing.’ It sounds so silly to say that. Of course, you should, but then to hear that it’s just like ‘Oh, yes, yeah.’ So, getting to work with her and feel the power that she has in her voice, it was just such a beautiful day and just she’s a light in the world and in music and to me in the studio she certainly was that day.”
