• JORDAN DAVIS PRAISES DIERKS BENTLEY AND HIS GRAVEL & GOLD TOUR.

Jordan Davis  hit the road with Dierks Bentley on the Gravel & Gold Tour last week, and he couldn’t be happier to be able to watch Dierks and his band every night.

“Dierks does such a great job of not making a tour feel like a tour in the best way. We’re all away from home, but Dierks makes everybody comfortable and goes out of his way to make sure that everybody’s having fun,” says Jordan. “But with that being said, it is a music tour, and I am a huge Dierks Bentley fan, always have been since ‘What Was I Thinkin’.’ So, to be able to sit side stage and honestly say that of the times that I’ve played with Dierks, I don’t think I’ve missed a second of the show, just because it’s a master class, man. The band’s phenomenal, Dierks on stage, his interaction, the way he allows his personality to come through his music, as a fairly new artist, you can learn a lot from guys like that. So, that’s truly what I’m really looking forward to getting to see, grabbing a beer and watching those guys go to work every night. It’s gonna be pretty special.”

After a break for this week’s CMA Fest in Nashville, the Gravel & Gold Tour returns to the road June 16th in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Jordan is closing in on the top of the country charts with his latest smash, “Next Thing You Know.”

“You know every tour stop is, in the grand scheme of things, I play for an hour, Dierks plays for an hour and a half, so it’s not a ton of time actually working. I’m most looking forward to hanging with Dierks, hanging with his crew, hanging with his band guys. Dierks does such a great job of not making a tour feel like a tour in the best way. We’re all away from home, but Dierks makes everybody comfortable and goes out of his way to make sure that everybody’s having fun. But with that being said, it is a music tour, and I am a huge Dierks Bentley fan, always have been since ‘What Was I Thinkin’.’ So, to be able to sit side stage and honestly say that of the times that I’ve played with Dierks, I don’t think I’ve missed a second of the show, just because it’s a master class, man. • JORDAN DAVIS LOOKING FORWARD TO BABY NO. 3.

Jordan Davis and his wife Kristen are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their third child. The couple, who married in 2017, revealed on socials back in February that they’re expecting their third child this month. The new addition will join big sister Eloise (2019) and Locklan (2021).

Jordan says he’s excited for the arrival of his third child, and he and Kristen are waiting to see whether it will be a boy or a girl.

“I think you’re kind of all the emotions – excited and scared, nervous,” says Jordan. “I think the thing I’m looking most forward to is there’s no love like a new baby, and so being able to hold – we don’t know what it is yet – so being able to hold him or her for the first time is always pretty special. It is crazy just the personalities that you see right off the bat, and it was such a difference between my son and daughter. You know, for me, it’s just exciting to get to see them who they’re going to become. We’re here to guide ‘em and love ‘em, but you want, it’s a fun ride to get to see them grow up. I am. I’m excited to meet the new one and bring ‘em home and let big sister…you know now Eloise can actually, she knows what’s going on. She knows we’re getting a new baby, and I know she’s excited, so I’m ready to see her face when the baby comes home.”

The Louisiana native, who is racing up the country charts with his latest single, “Next Thing You Know,” joins Dierks Bentley on the Gravel & Gold Tour, which kicks off Thursday night (June 1st) in Toronto.

“It is, I mean, obviously such an honor to be nominated in Entertainer of the Year. Obviously, that’s such a tough category to be in, ‘cause there’s just so, I don’t even want to call it competition, there’s just so many hard working artists out there that are just you know pouring themselves and their time and their energy and their love and their artistry into what they do. You know, obviously just to even be in the final category is just absolutely amazing and hopefully, above all, we can all just remember that it’s a celebration of a great year in country music and in our careers as artists, so we’ll just see what happens, but definitely excited to be in that category.”

I knew I made it through to the last round, but, honestly, I was, y’all see the other nominees in there, some heavy hitters. So, to hear my name first, it was pure shock. But now too, in 2019, I was up for New Artist, so I think it goes to show that I’ve got a great team and great fans, and two, we made some great music that is connecting with people. The awards are amazing, but to be nominated with those guys is a huge win for me.”

We picked out songs, wrote songs, went to Key West to record vocals which is cool. Just to get nominated by songwriters and publishers and the industry is always great.”

  • JORDAN DAVIS ALMOST COULDN’T BELIEVE HIS EARS WHEN HE FOUND OUT HE WAS NOMINATED FOR ACM MALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR.

“When I grow up, I want to be Dierks Bentley. (laughs) I know I’ve made that joke before, but like I just love that guy to death. I feel like I know, not just Dierks, I know his band pretty well. Dan, his fiddle guy, I’ve known for longer than I’ve known Dierks. More importantly like, it’s a master class. That band is so good. Dierks is an entertainer to the unth degree and just really, really great people and this job gets tough and being on the road with really good people makes it a little bit easier. So, and it doesn’t suck that Dierks can fly a plane, so we can be home pretty quick if he’s got any open seats. Dierks, I’d love to hop in there with ya. I’ll even help you fly, if you need some help, you know? I’m kidding—you’re flying the whole way.”

  • “NEXT THING YOU KNOW” BABY THREE IS COMING FOR JORDAN DAVIS AND HIS WIFE KRISTEN.

Jordan Davis and his wife Kristen are acting out some of the actions of his new single, “Next Thing You Know,” for the…third time. The couple, who married in 2017, revealed on socials that they’re expecting their third child in June. The new addition will join big sister Eloise (2019) and Locklan (2021).

Jordan tells us they’re really excited to meet their third child, but they’re waiting to find out whether it will be a girl or boy. “We got another one coming in June,” he says. “I gotta figure out how to not have kids in the summer because I’m usually pretty busy. I don’t know what I was thinking then but, you know I’m so excited. There truly is no greater joy in the world than welcoming a baby, and we don’t know what it is. We’re gonna wait and find out, but (we’re) really excited come June to be bringing home a baby brother or a baby sister to Lock and Eloise. So far Kristen’s been great. Everything looks healthy, you know, we’re just continuing to pray for a safe delivery and looking forward to meeting the little fella or little girl here soon. I’m pumped.”

Jordan just released his brand new album, Bluebird Days, this past Friday (February 17th).

He’ll wrap up his Canadian tour this weekend with shows in Montreal on Friday (February 24th) and Ottawa on Saturday (February 25th).
