Brothers Osborne will head into Sunday night’s (January 28th) GRAMMY Awards with their third Grammy nomination, which seems pretty surreal to John and TJ.

“Being nominated for a GRAMMY is genuinely something you dream of as a kid, you know, when you’re sitting in your room learning to play a guitar solo for the umpteenth-jillionth time,” says John. “You think of yourself like, ‘I want to be on stage one day. I want to be nominated or win a Grammy,’ but to you it’s just a dream. It’s like, ‘It probably won’t happen,’ then all of a sudden you wake up and you’re like, ‘We literally just got nominated for our third Grammy, and this is insane. How did this happen?’ After years and years of hard work, you forget about those things. I mean, not entirely. You just lose sight of it a little bit, and all of a sudden, you wake up with something like that and you’re like, ‘Wow! All this is paying off.’”

They’re nominated in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category for their Top 10 rowdy hit “It Ain’t My Fault.” This nomination joins their previously nominated performances for their No.1 Platinum smash hit “Stay A Little Longer” as well as the nostalgic “21 Summer.”

John and TJ will perform during the telecast to help honor the victims and their families of the Route 91 Harvest Festival tragedy, along with their friends Eric Church and Maren Morris.

The 60th Annual Grammy Awards will air live from Madison Square Garden in New York City on Sunday beginning at 7:30p ET on CBS.

JOHN: “Being nominated for a GRAMMY is genuinely something you dream of as a kid, you know, when you’re sitting in your room learning to play a guitar solo for the umpteenth-jillionth time. You think of yourself like, ‘I want to be on stage one day. I want to be nominated or win a Grammy,’ but to you it’s just a dream. You just lose sight of it a little bit, and all of a sudden, you wake up with something like that and you’re like, ‘Wow! All this is paying off.’ It means a lot because all of the people who have come before us that have been nominated and won Grammys are always very respectful and authentic artists, and we’re just grateful to be a part of it.”
