Canaan Smith is so excited about heading out on the Sounds of Summer Tour with Dierks Bentley in June, but he wasn’t as excited to jump into the freezing water during Dierks’ annual Polar Plunge/Tour announcement earlier this week.
“It was so freaking cold. The ride out to the middle of the lake on the Pontoon was miserable enough, and then when we took our clothes off and jumped in subzero water, that was another thing. Then riding back against the wind to the shore was the cherry on top,” laughs Canaan. “It was the worst experience of my life.”
The Virginia native also said it was the “best” moment because he can’t wait to go on tour with Dierks this summer.
The Sounds of Summer Tour will kick off June 5th in Raleigh, North Carolina. Tickets go on sale January 26th.
Canaan is climbing the country charts with his single, “Love You Like That.”
