Carrie Underwood surprised Nashville’s Andrew Jackson Elementary School’s Eagle Honor Choir before their performance at Nissan Stadium at this year’s CMA Fest. The children caught Carrie’s attention with a video of them performing her song, “The Champion,” and as a recipient of the CMA Foundation’s grant to ensure music education for every child, the choir was offered the opportunity to perform during the festival.

Directed by three-time CMA Foundation Music Teacher of Excellence winner Franklin Willis, the choir performed in front of more than 50,000 people at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.

Carrie told them, “I can’t wait for you guys to crush it on Sunday. You guys are gonna be so amazing. That crowd is not gonna know what hit them.

CMA Fest will air Sunday (August 4th) at 8pm ET on ABC.
