Catie Offerman
made her Grand Ole Opry debut this past weekend (9/2).  Sporting a gold glittery gown and a Texas-sized smile, Offerman stepped into the historic circle at the Grand Ole Opry to perform for the first time.  Offerman, showed off her talent as a multi-instrumentalist by playing her fiddle and guitar on her songs “Happyland Trailer Park” and “Don’t Do It In Texas.”

“I just got finished playing my Opry debut and honestly, I can’t believe it’s over because I feel like I’ve prepared for this my whole life, and it was over just like that. It’s just so surreal to be part of this country music family, something that I’ve dreamed about for years, and I even talked to my grandparents about.  And here I am, I did it and I can’t wait to do it again!” says Offerman. “It is so special to have my family here, they came all the way from Texas, 15 hours in the car with their chihuahuas, just to be here. It’s just really sweet because it’s a long haul and it was amazing knowing that they were out there supporting me, though they’ve supported me my whole life.  Whether it’s been me playing in smokey bars in Austin or God knows where in Texas, pizza restaurants, polka gigs, all the way to the Opry they’ve been there for me.  So, this is really special to share this moment with them.”

About Catie Offerman
Catie Offerman may be a new name to country music fans, but she’s already gaining a reputation as one of the genre’s most skilled players and promising modern traditionalists and Nashville’s music community is responding. Originally from New Braunfels, Texas, Offerman grew up on a horse ranch. Home schooled by her father in the tack room of their barn, she gravitated towards music at a young age. Offerman started playing piano at the age of four which eventually led her to pursue other instruments such as violin, accordion and more. When she was 11, Offerman’s accordion teacher asked her to join their polka band where they traveled across Texas performing.  Offerman graduated from Berklee College of Music at the age of 19 and signed her publishing deal with Universal Music Group Publishing about five years later. Offerman was featured in The Highwomen’s “Redesigning Women” video, inked her record deal with Universal Music Group in 2020 and was named one of “The Boot’s” 2021 Artists to Watch.
