Caylee Hammack – Bed Of Roses Album + Book (AUDIO)
Well, the album is really like from 18, 19 to 30 years old of trying to find myself and trying to find good love. Even when I wasn’t in the pursuit of good love, I still wanted it. And I got a lot of lessons in between and a lot of building and growing moments throughout the time and a lot of inspiration for songs. So being able to write a romance novel, specifically because I was raised on romance novels. I used to smuggle them from my Aunt Pumpkin’s bookshelves. And I got giddy anytime she wanted me to bring them to Salvation Army. Once she got done with it, she’d want a new one. And I would just hoard them in my closet and read them at night. But I just, there’s some peace I find within knowing that at the end of this book, two people will be happy together because they were written for one another. And wouldn’t that be nice to know that God wrote you and created you to fit perfectly with somebody else that was made for you as well. And I love that optimistic, you know, gold lining of the storm cloud of life in having a romance novel that kind of sits with an album that is a little bit more melancholy. So I wanted to create it so that when you listen to the album straight through, that is my story. That is my revelations kind of in the pacing and in the timing that happened in my life. But if you listen to the album in opposite, in reverse, then you actually get Sam’s timeline and it fits her story better. And I wanted to be able to bring influences into this romance novel about a woman listening to her gut, a woman listening to the women around her when they speak up. And yeah, I hope that through this Happily Ever After that I’ve got to paint and sit side by side with this album that is more about some of the harder moments and getting through them. I hope I create a universe that someone can really dive into. There has been so much comfort music, sad songs, and happily ever afters have given me. And I just wanted to be able to create that for somebody else.

Mirroring themes of her album, the novel, published by Podium Entertainment and co-authored by Hammack and New York Times–bestselling author Carolyn Brown, delves deeper into the characters and narratives inspired by her songs. The book is a heartfelt exploration of life’s tangled emotions, offering fans a new way to experience Hammack’s storytelling. Each chapter of the novel correlates to track titles on the album, with both bodies of work taking readers and listeners on a journey from heartbreak to healing. With its physical release set for June 3, fans can pre-order the “Bed Of Roses” print book HERE.

About Caylee Hammack:

An Ellaville, Georgia native with a self-described green thumb and stop-you-in-your-tracks vocals crossing the warbling buzz of hummingbird wings with the sting of a thorn, Capitol Records Nashville artist Caylee Hammack landed in Nashville at 19, turning heads with her unique mix of influences ranging from David Bowie and Kate Bush to Dolly Parton and Tom Waits. Releasing a standout 2020 album debut IF IT WASN’T FOR YOU, she went on to share stadium stages with Luke Bryan and Brothers Osborne, stun tiny listening rooms into rapt silence, and captivate the Grand Ole Opry. All told, she has so far racked up 235.8 million career global streams to date, won an ACM Award for Musical Event of the Year (“Fooled Around And Fell In Love” with Miranda Lambert), and picked up Artist to Watch accolades from The Bobby Bones ShowRolling Stone among other honors. Releasing March 7th, her sophomore studio album Bed of Roses tracks five years of patient growth, keeping her musical roots intertwined with the country greats – with new branches reaching off to the outer edges of psychedelic Americana while fortifying her Country backbone. Featuring 13 fresh cut blooms, the rising star learned to tend her “garden of life” not just for a short pop of beauty, but for a long lasting, healthy environment. The songstress expanded her creative horizons penning the must-read counterpart to her sophomore album, BED OF ROSES, a romance novel about a young woman finding herself – and love – in unexpected places. Co-authored by Hammack and New York Times–bestselling author Carolyn Brown, each chapter correlates to track titles on the album, inspired by the stories that molded her into the artist she is today, and taking readers on a journey from heartbreak to healing. She’s set to join Stephen Wilson Jr. on tour April 10th-12th and was recently slated for the Highways Festival at the historic Royal Albert Hall on May 16th, one of the UK’s most anticipated country music events of the year.
