Chris’ co-writer, Dan Wilson, accepted both awards as Chris was not in attendance.
โChris isnโt here, so Iโm taking two of them home,” says Dan. “My biggest thanks is to Chris for writing songs with me. This is great.”
Chris co-wrote the song with Dan Wilson nearly 12 years ago when they were tasked to write a song for potential placement in the 2013 Lone Rangerย movie (which starred Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer), and while it didnโt make the movie soundtrack, it is featured prominently on Chrisโ latest album,ย Higher.
