While Hollywood turns out a lot of creative projects, sometimes it can take years for a movie or TV show to get finished. Chrissy Metz says the great thing about working in Nashville is that you can go into a room and four hours later come out with a song that didn’t exist before. She loves the creative vibe and the all the talented people in Music City.

She jokes that you could meet some of the most talented people ever here in Nashville, but you wouldn’t know it because they are also some of the most humble people you’d meet at the same time. Nashville has been the ‘it” city for a while now when it comes to attracting creative minds, and now that she’s moved here, Chrissy sees why. Working in country music and releasing her song “Talking to God” has allowed her to work with some of the best musicians in the industry, but she thinks the real perk is that they also some of the nicest people as well.

“What’s so special about, not only song writing, it’s like you get to go into a room with someone and 4 hours later have something that never existed before. With TV and film, there’s so many processes of when is the script…it could be 5, 10 years before it ever sees the light of day, but more over than that it’s like there are the most talented people in the world in this town, and you would never know it because they’re so humble, they’re so kind,” says Chrissy. “That for me is so exciting when I get to track my own music with these incredible musicians and they are just the kindest human beings. So, that just kind of confirms why I wanted to be here and why people love it here, and people inevitably end up coming here as musicians or any creative people.”
