Nashville – (September 3, 2014) – Still reeling from his Soldier Field show this past Sunday night where he performed for 60,000 fans, superstar Luke Bryan began this morning with the news of three nominations for the upcoming “48th Annual CMA Awards.” Luke garnered nods as Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist and Album for Crash My Party, which has sold over 2 million copies.and 7.8 million digital tracks.
Next week, Luke will take his “That’s My Kind of Night Tour” to New York where he will play his second sold-out concert at Madison Square Garden and will be the first country artist to perform in Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center. Earlier in the week, Luke will perform on “Fashion Rocks” on Tuesday, Sept. 9, will sing his new hit single “Roller Coaster” on Sept. 10 on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” and on Friday, Sept. 12 Luke will make a guest appearance on “Access Hollywood Live.”
This Thursday, GACs “Headline Country” will debut their story from Luke’s sold-out Soldier Field show and on Saturday, September 13, CMT’s “Hot 20 Countdown” will premiere the interview with Cody Alan and Luke from this Chicago concert as well.
Since the debut of his first album in 2007, Luke has sold nearly 6.2 million albums, 23.1 million digital tracks from his four studio albums and placed 10 singles at No. 1. Luke made recent Billboard chart history when he reached the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart with “Play It Again” and “This Is How We Roll” with Florida Georgia Line claiming the No. 2 spot. Luke becomes the first artist to ever hold the two top positions since the chart began in 1990.
