David Nail says the first time he saw his wife, Catherine, he noticed there was something special about her. “She was just different,” says David. “When you go to the same places and see the same people, when somebody new walks in the door, you notice them. I knew that was pretty obvious that she wasn’t from around the Nashville area. We had mutual friends, and so the next day, I kinda forced my way over to that house and was just really being silly. Found out she had a boyfriend, so I really didn’t think anything about it…and a couple hours later, they were getting ready to go back to Memphis where she’s from, and I heard her tell a friend, ‘He’s so funny. I just wish we could throw him up in our suitcase and take him home.’ I kinda took that as my invitation, so I kinda manipulated the situation to where I could get in contact with her and just kinda maintain contact, so if the boyfriend, if he ever messed up, I could step in…which I did, and once I stepped in, I made sure I kept her close.”

David is currently making his way up the country charts with his latest single, “Whatever She’s Got.” It’s the first single from David’s forthcoming album, due early next year.
