“We’re beyond excited to get back out on the road for so many reasons that I cannot even possibly describe. But I would say above all else, it’s just getting to actually play music in front of fans that appreciate and support what you do and they sing the songs back and to get that relationship back with the fans, I mean, everything we do from writing from these interviews to recording, it’s all so we can get out there and play for the fans. And just being able to do that, it’s reminding us of why we put all the work into what we do.”

“My performance at CMA Summer Jam is gonna be hopefully some songs people know and sing along to, and I will have a special guest Dwight Yoakam who’s gonna be joining me. We get to sing a couple of songs together, which I’m super excited about ’cause he just oozes coolness. It’s gonna be great. It’s gonna be fun. It’s gonna be hot, but we are ready for it.”

“You know, I’m just so honored to be on the CMA Summer Jam. I got lucky. I wrote a song with some buddies last year that was kind of a summery song that did pretty good for us. So, I’m gonna go out there and have fun and try to bring some ‘Beers and Sunshine’ to everybody.”

“Well, it’s just so great just to get a chance to perform with Miranda’s band. She’s got a great band, so it’s fun to get there, and I’m just so appreciative of the fact that she asked me to come help and sing a song. I’m gonna get up and do my song with her band, and then I get a chance to collaborate with her, Miranda, and Brothers Osborne. So, came up with an idea of doing ‘Midnight Rider.’ It’s a great song that has a spot for four harmonies or lead vocal and three harmonies. So, we get to sing together, which is my favorite part of music anyways, which is harmonies, so that’s really fun and just  see some friends and look out at this great crowd of diehard country music fans. It’s gonna be a special, special night.”

Eric Church (CMA Summer Jam) OC: ..back out there. :42
“The place I’m most excited to perform is anywhere, because it’s been that long. I’ve tried to get like five-year-old birthday party gigs and anybody that would hire a guy with sunglasses to play. But I will play anywhere, and I think the band will play anywhere. I think it harkens back to, at least for us, it’s about the love of music. And I think COVID and coming out of COVID is I don’t think I took things for granted. I really don’t, because I really tried to soak in the moment and take in the moment. But if I did take anything for granted, I won’t do it again and we can’t wait to get back there.”

“I just try to go out there and give it my all every night and have fun and connect with the crowds and be loose and fun, but play songs that fans want to hear and play songs that put smiles on all the fans’ faces and it’s gonna be a great time out there.”

“I have been watching CMA and all of the amazing events that CMA puts on for a long time, and to finally be included in that is just really, really cool and special to me, and I’m just so excited to be able to be a part of it. I get to sing during Carrie Underwood’s set. Like, that is not anything that I pictured two years ago, and here I am and I’m just so grateful for that.”
