DIERKS BENTLEY SCHEDULES HIS ANNUAL MILES AND MUSIC FOR KIDS EVENT. (PRESS RELEASE & AUDIO)

Nashville, TN – Aug. 29, 2013 – Multi-Platinum singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley is gearing up for his eighth annual Miles & Music for Kids celebrity motorcycle ride and concert, taking place Sunday, November 3rd in Nashville. The event, which benefits Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, will feature special guests Jake Owen and Easton Corbin.

Presale tickets are available beginning Wednesday, September 4th on www.dierks.com and general public tickets go on sale Friday, September 6th, at 10am CT through Ticketmaster.

“This is honestly the most fun day of my year, and it brings the whole community together for a great cause,” said Bentley. “We got rained out last year for the first time, so I want to make up for it in a big way. The lineup is going to be killer, and it’ll be a fun way to kick off a big week that celebrates country music with the CMA Awards just a few days later.”

Since first hitting the pavement in 2006, Bentley has visited seven cities to raise over $2 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the country. This year’s annual event will begin at the Harley Davidson of Columbia (1616 Harley Davidson Blvd., Columbia, TN) for an hour-long ride that ends downtown at Nashville’s Riverfront Park. From Riverfront, Bentley will take the stage for a family-friendly day of music with a lineup that will continue to grow as the event approaches.

Fans can purchase a combo ticket for the ride and concert for $50 or individual concert tickets for $30. Special VIP packages are also available. All proceeds from the event will benefit Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. For more ticket info, visit www.dierks.com.

AUDIO: Dierks Bentley, who will hold his 7th annual Miles & Music for Kids motorcycle ride and concert in Nashville in October, explains about what riding a motorcycle gives him.

Dierks (Motorcycle) OC: …great feeling. :22
“You know, for me, like on the road, it’s funny. You’re on the road, then you get off the road and the first thing I want to do is get on a motorcycle and go back out on the road. But it’s a totally different feeling to be like a few feet off the asphalt and be all alone. It’s kind of a modern-day version of being an outlaw on a horse. You’re on a motorcycle, you’re alone and all you’ve got with you is the bare necessities. And really just being on the bike and being out there by yourself is a great feeling.”
