DIERKS BENTLEY WRAPS CANADIAN TOUR WITH 1 MILLIONTH MILE ON THE ROAD! (AUDIO)

Nashville, TN – Feb. 24, 2012 – Multi-Platinum singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley wrapped the Canadian leg of his 2012 Country & Cold Cans Tour last night in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Shortly after crossing the border on his return ‘home’ to the U.S., Bentley’s tour bus “Old Goldie” marked its one millionth mile.

“Goldie has been my home on the road since I put out my very first single,” said Bentley. “A lot of memories have been made traveling across the country in Goldie, and I’ve been able to see every city and town three or four times.  If you look at my guitar or my boots or my truck, you know that I love old things.  I hope she makes it another million!”

The eight city tour across Canada was the first official trek of 2012’s Country & Cold Cans Tour in support of Bentley’s sixth studio album “Home,” which debuted at No. 1 last week and continues to bring in massive critical acclaim. Here’s what they are saying about the Canadian leg of the tour:

“He certainly has a firm grip on what it takes to be an entertainer…had the crowd on its feet (not like they ever sat down) and singing every word.”  – Calgary Sun

“He’s an unstoppable showman.” – Edmonton Journal

“Bentley and his ace band kept the energy up…the entire group worked the stage, with Bentley stopping
to shake hands, run around the wings and even take a swig of beer from a fan’s cup. He may be a
Grammy-nominated big name artist, but he comes off as an authentic artist who knows how to make his audience feel good.” – Saskatoon Star Phoenix

Bentley will play the San Antonio Rodeo this weekend, before taking his 2012 Country & Cold Cans Tour to Australia and then on a 20-city U.S. spring run. For a full list of upcoming tour dates and more on the album, visit www.dierks.com.

Dierks (fans on the road) OC: …it’s sincere. :20

“My biggest thing out there on the road is to make it real and not just have it be going through the motions or faking anything…I’m spending my whole day out on the road in some town, and these fans are spending their whole day to come out there and their money to come out to the show. So, I just want that experience to be as real as possible. So, when I get a chance to talk to ‘em in person, it’s just an honest discussion and it’s real and it’s sincere.”
