Dierks Bentley has been added to the list of performers for this year’s CMA Awards. He’s joined by Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw. Previously announced performers include Luke Bryan, Lady antebellum, Little Big Town, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton and The Band Perry.
Dierks has five nominations, including Male Vocalist, Album for Riser, Song for “I Hold On” which he wrote with Brett James and Single and Music Video of the Year for “Drunk on a Plane.” He has a career total of 15 nominations and he won his first CMA Award in 2005 – the Horizon Award (now known as New Artist of the Year).
The 48th Annual CMA Awards will be broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena beginning at 8pm ET November 5th.
Winners of the 48th Annual CMA Awards will be determined in a final round of voting by eligible voting members of the Country Music Association. CMA Awards balloting is officiated by the international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP. The third and final ballot will be emailed to CMA members emailed to CMA members Thursday, Oct. 9. Voting for the CMA Awards final ballot ends Monday, Oct. 27 (5:00 PM/CT).
