HILLARY SCOTT HOPES THE VIDEO FOR ‘THY WILL’ GIVES PEOPLE STRENGTH AND WILL TOUCH THEIR HEARTS.

Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum just released the video for her solo single “Thy Will,” and making it was a very emotional experience for her. After Hillary and her family started working on their upcoming faith-based project Love Remains, she suffered a miscarriage (she and husband Chris Tyrrell are parents of nearly three-year-old Eisele (her birthday is July 22nd)). The singer revealed on Good Morning America on Monday (June 20th) that she wrote the song in the middle of “experiencing everything that comes with a miscarriage. So, it was my most raw place that I could’ve ever been when this song truly poured out of me,” which included questioning God and her faith at one point.

The video, she says, “really is about just your inner struggle with the things you hold onto and are afraid to let go of, things that, maybe they’re difficult things that you’ve been through and it’s just hard to move past them.”

“The whole concept is I’m going through this video, going over a little bit of time, like a few days where the days I’m kind of wandering around and having this conversation with God and really talking to him honestly about untying these knots, these knots that represent struggle and difficult things I’ve been through. I’m untying them during the day, and then nightfall comes, and I tie them all back,” she says. “It’s like when things get quiet, and I know for me, when I stay up too late, my mind starts wandering and it never leads to good things. It’s easy to get really kind of stuck in some negative, and that’s what this video really shows.”

Hillary’s husband, Chris Tyrrell, and daughter Eisele make appearances in the clip for “Thy Will,” which she hopes “will touch some people’s hearts.”

“Thy Will” is the first single from the forthcoming album, Love Remains, from Hillary Scott & the Scott Family due July 29th.

Hillary Scott (Thy Will video) 2 OC: …as well. :20
“I’m excited because my husband Chris and my little girl Eisele are in the video, as well, which makes it a family affair. And it’s going to be tough to watch, just because the song is so wrapped up in my heart, but I’m hoping and know that it will be so powerful and hopefully that it will touch some people’s hearts, as well.”
