“What I think gave me the strength to release a song like ‘Thy Will’ first, is that it scares me more to not do it. I think as scary as it is to talk about really hard things that you go through and to be, not only in the public eye all the time, but to also share a huge personal part of my story, because I wrote this song about having a miscarriage. And it’s about feeling like it was time to have another baby and then we get pregnant, and we’re excited all to find out that it’s not meant to be right now. And that it wasn’t right and it wasn’t the right time. And, so that’s what this story is for me. It’s asking God, like, ‘I felt like this was what you were telling us to do, and then all for it to be taken away,but I trust you. I have to trust you and like the song says, like ‘you are God, and I am not. Like, you see the big picture, and I believe that, but I’m not gonna lie to you that this really is hard. This is a real, hard thing to walk through and I need you to help me and thank you for an amazing husband, and a daughter to wake up for every day, you know, all of those things that keep you going.’ But that’s what this song is, and I think I want other people to hear my story and know that you can keep stepping every day, you can breathing you can keep living and never forgetting and never getting over what happened, but you can keep living in the midst of it. And so that’s what this song is. This song is hopefully giving people the freedom to know that it’s okay to question, but don’t forget that He
