After revealing details behind their their forthcoming debut album THE K IS SILENT (Capitol Records Nashville), available May 1st, the ’90s influenced band Hot Country Knights are hiking up their jeans today with the release of “Moose Knuckle Shuffle.” The tightest line dance of all time is filled with hip-thrusts and moves that impress “no matter what you’re packing under that belt buckle.” THE K IS SILENT is now available for pre-order here at all digital retailers, fans will instantly receive “Moose Knuckle Shuffle.”
“Jeans are supposed to be worn high and tight…the way the Knights and guys like Trace and Billy Ray wore them back around the mid 90’s. Tight in all the right places, not down by your calves where these current ‘modern’ guys like Dirk Bradley and Luke Bryan and that tall guy from that girl group Lady Antebellum wear them,” explained lead singer Doug Douglason. “The Knights trademarked the Moose Knuckle, just like we did the mullet, and this video is more like a public service announcement for these guys. If you want to get the girl, hike up your jeans and dance. It’s not rocket science.”
The song and video drop just before the Knights will embark on their 2020 ONE KNIGHT STAND TOUR on April 7 in San Diego, CA. The VVVIP package available for the club run includes a private line dance lesson from the band, where they will personally instruct the fans on how to do the “Moose Knuckle Shuffle.” The Lexington Leader is already anticipating it to be a standout moment with its “imploding chorus line choreography.” The once-in-a-KNIGHT-time experience is available here.
After premiering on Good Morning America, fans can now learn the professional choreography behind “Moose Knuckle Shuffle” through its official music video here.
Some said this moment would never happen. But in spite of 30 wasted years and countless bad decisions, the Hot Country Knights stake by “riding a neon wave of Nineties Country nostalgia,” (Rolling Stone). Famous for never giving up on the dream of the ‘90s, the Hot Country Knights are comprised of band leader Douglas (“Doug”) Douglason, lead bass player Trevor Travis, lead guitarist Marty Ray (“Rayro”) Roburn, keytar/fiddle player Terotej (“Terry”) Dvoraczekynski, steel guitarist Barry Van Ricky and percussionist Monte Montgomery. “While the Knights may be out for a good time, they are deadly serious about paying tribute to ’90s country,” (Billboard) with their forthcoming album THE K IS SILENT. They “already have a hit on their hands” (E! Online) with the album’s debut lead single “Pick Her Up” featuring ’90s icon Travis Tritt as it continues to climb the Country radio charts. Produced by Dierks Bentley, the multi-Platinum entertainer also serves as a co-writer on over half of the 10 brawny tracks and serves up one of the most musically satisfying debut albums since 1999.
