In-between tour dates on Thursday night (Lakeland, Florida) and Saturday night in Evansville, Indiana, Josh Turner will attend his final Atlanta Braves baseball game at Turner Field in Atlanta as the team’s special guest.
The Braves are counting down the games of their final season at Turner Field — literally.
Other special guests have included Sam Hunt, Trisha Yearwood, Brantley Gilbert, MLB Hall of Famer Hank Aaron and rapper Ludacris.
The Major League Baseball team holds a ceremony at the end of the fifth inning of every Turner Field game this season during which a display on the left-field wall will be adjusted to show one fewer home game remaining. Josh will help tear down the game number on Friday night (September 16th).
“Turner Field will always be special to me because I never got to go to Fulton County Stadium. Therefore, ‘The Ted’ is where I made my first Braves memories,” says Josh. “I don’t remember the first game I went to there but all of my children have had their first experiences there too.“
A lifelong Braves fan, Josh says his favorite souvenir from the ballpark “is a bobblehead of the Braves mascot that I found in my grandparents’ attic. My uncle got it when he went to a game back in the ’70’s and decided to let me have it when I found it. The head had broken off and I ended up gluing it back on!”
Josh is currently making his way up the country charts with his latest single, “Hometown Girl.”
