Kacey Musgraves and Katy Perry team up for a new installment of CMT Crossroads on Friday (June 13th) at 10p ET. Filmed in Los Angeles, the hour-long episode will feature duets of their individual hits like “Firework” and “Merry Go Round,” as well as covers of Bonnie Raitt‘s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” and Dolly Parton‘s “Here You Come Again.” 

For the first-time ever, the episode will air on multiple channels including VH1, MTV, MTV Hits and Palladia. Dates and times for the additional airings will be announced soon.

CMT Crossroads: Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves marks the 50th episode of the network’s longest-running music series.

Kacey, who is currently climbing the country charts with “Keep It To Yourself,” is on the road on select dates of Willie Nelson’s co-headlining tour with Alison Krauss & Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas. Beginning August 10th in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Kacey will join Katy Perry’s Prismatic World Tour.

“I don’t know if I can say that there’s one song in particular that I’m excited to sing. I mean, whether it’s ‘Last Friday Night’ or ‘Roar’ or even ‘I Kissed a Girl’ or, I mean, I love ‘Teenage Dream.’ I think it’s probably one of the best pop songs I’ve ever heard. It gives me this almost melancholy feeling. I don’t think it’s supposed to, but it does, and it’s so good. I’m so excited to be able to just do what I do on it, and maybe throw a little bit of country on it, and just to hear Katy sing any of my songs, but I know in particular she loves ‘Merry Go Round.’ It’s going to be incredible.”
