Kip Moore gave fans a personal look into his charitable initiative, “Comeback Kid Skatepark Project” as CBS This Morning visited his Nashville skatepark in an episode that aired this morning and is available to watch here. The initiative was born as a passion project, with the goal of finding an outlet to showcase Moore’s love for the alternative sports lifestyle, specifically skateboarding, and his desire to help inner city children. Phase one cities of the project include Nashville, TN; Boston, MA; San Marcos, TX; Annapolis, MD and a new skatepark slated to officially open on 7/27 in Cincinnati, OH where Moore is set to appear at the grand opening for the Warsaw Federal Skate Park, a project of the Lower Price Hill Neighborhood Enhancement Program. The “Comeback Kid Skatepark Project” is the first initiative of “Kip’s Kids Fund,” a donor-advised fund through The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee (CFMT) focused on youth and teens, for more information and to make a donation visit here.

The inspiration for the name of the project comes from “Comeback Kid,” a personal anthem taken from Moore’s critically acclaimed sophomore album, WILD ONES that VICE declares “sprinkles a little late-night Bonnaroo magic…that’s made to be witnessed live.” Taken from the album and hailed as a “career song” by Billboard, Moore’s current single “Running For You” continues to climb the charts. WILD ONES follows Moore’s debut album UP ALL NIGHT which was certified GOLD by the RIAA and spawned three No. One hit singles including GOLD certified “Beer Money,” PLATINUM certified “Hey Pretty Girl,” and the DOUBLE PLATINUM breakout hit “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck.”

Hot on the heels of his sold-out tour in the US and Canada and a stint in Australia for the first time, Moore recently returned from a sold-out string of headlining shows in The UK and Ireland.  Fan demand led to bigger venues being scheduled and Moore closed the run with a sold-out date in London, UK.  A constant road warrior, Moore is currently on the road for Miranda Lambert’s Keeper Of The Flame Tour and tonight (6/2) Moore joins Brantley Gilbert for a stop in Mansfield, MA.
