KIP MOORE SHOWS HIS PATRIOTIC SIDE. (AUDIO)

Kip Moore is a very patriotic person and is proud to live in the United States. He doesn’t take his freedom to follow his dreams lightly either. He even wrote a song about what he feels military goes through when they’re on the battefield. “When I start to think I’m halfway tough, I realize I’m not one bit when I talk to soldiers when I’m out and realize the things that they go through. It actually made me go write this song called ‘Battle Cry,’ which is probably one of my favorite lyrics that I’ve ever written,” says Kip. “I believe when you’ve got family and you’ve got wives and you’ve got kids, there has to be so much fear, and they do it, which is what makes them brave. I wrote the song from the sense of what I really feel like is pounding in their heart when they’re in the middle of battle and how they’re praying that now is not the time that they’re gonna go. And I can’t imagine facing what those guys are facing every single day.”

Kip Moore (battle cry) OC: …every single day. 1:06
“I’m a very, very patriotic person, proud of the country I live in, and I’m very proud of what those guys do for us each and every day and I don’t take it for granted one bit. Both my grandparents were in the military, fought in wars, and I’ve seen the battle they’ve gone through just the horror of remembering things, and I just can’t imagine. When I start to thinking I’m halfway tough, I realize I’m not one bit when I talk to soldiers when I’m out and realize the things that they go through. It actually made me go write this song called ‘Battle Cry,’ which is probably one of my favorite lyrics that I’ve ever written. I hope to release it at some point. I feel like there’s so many patriotic songs that are rah-rah and we can’t wait to fight the battle for you and all this kind of stuff. I just don’t believe that’s really how it is. I believe when you’ve got family and you’ve got wives and you’ve got kids, there has to be so much fear, and they do it, which is what makes them brave. I wrote the song from the sense of what I really feel like is pounding in their heart when they’re in the middle of battle and how they’re praying that now is not the time that they’re gonna go. And I can’t imagine facing what those guys are facing every single day.”
