Kip Moore is having a “blast” headlining the CMT On Tour 2014: Up in Smoke trek since September, with openers Sam Hunt and Charlie Worsham. The Georgia native says it has exceeded all of his expectations.

We’re seeing our fan base just grow like crazy, and they know all of the underground music for the new record,” says Kip. “And all of these shows are sold out, and it’s just been chaos. It’s been a blast.”

He’s just got a few more dates on the books before he takes a short break. The CMT On Tour makes stops in Athens (Georgia), Tampa, Boston and Detroit, before wrapping in Cleveland November 29th.

Of course you love the people singing back your music to you, but I think I love even more when I can tell, when I look out and I can see it in somebody’s face that I’m having a very profound impact on the way they’re feeling inside. They have no idea how much they’re giving back to me too. I have people all the time telling me how much my music means to them, but they have no idea of how much they mean to me. I think we breathe life into each other. That’s what’s the coolest thing to me.”
