Lady Antebellum are set to release their new album, 747, on September 30th, and the band feels that the music they created will be with them for a long time.
“The recording process and all of that will always be a time and place for us that we’ll look back on with so much joy and really great memories, but these songs, I feel like, are gonna travel with us for a while,” says Lady A’s Hillary Scott. “I don’t wanna lose that feeling. I don’t wanna lose that fight. I want that to carry over into the next however many years we’re blessed to be able to do this.”
“As a band, we’re ready,” adds Charles Kelley. “It’s been a couple years since we’ve had a song of the year or a record of the year. That, as artists, is very gratifying. And that’s where this record is. It’s a band that is clawing and fighting to win a record of the year.”
Lady Antebellum are up for Vocal Group of the Year and Music Video of the Year for their recent two-week No. 1 song, “Bartender.”

Lady A (want album to travel with them) OC: (Hillary) …to do this. 1:
HILLARY: “I feel like this album is gonna travel with us for a while. The recording process and all of that will always be a time and place for us that we’ll look back on with so much joy and really great memories, but these songs, I feel like, are gonna travel with us for a while.” CHARLES: “It’s a snapshot, if anything, of where we are as a band. I think it’s wanting to solidify our place, and wanting to stay at the top, for lack of a better way of saying it. You know, when you start playing these arenas and these amphitheaters, and the fans are gravitating toward this music, it’s a drug. You want it. You want to stay there. As a band, we’re ready. It’s been a couple years since we’ve had a song of the year or a record of the year. That, as artists, is very gratifying. And that’s where this record is. It’s a band that is clawing and fighting to win a record of the year.” DAVID: “I hear some fighting in this record and I hear it in the tracks, and I remember us writing with that tenacity and that urgency. I feel that in the music, for me. I hear the fight in this record; that we wanna get back up there.” HILLARY: “And that’s what I mean when I say the music is gonna travel with us for a while. I don’t wanna lose that feeling. I don’t wanna lose that fight. I want that to carry over into the next however many years we’re blessed to be able to do this.”
