Lady Antebellum’s new album, Heart Break, debuted at the top of Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart this week. The collection sold more than 53,000 units to score their fifth No. 1 album on the country chart and landing at No. 4 on the overall chart, as well as the Top 10 on iTunes charts in 15 countries around the world, including the UK, Ireland, Scotland, Canada and South Africa, where their You Look Good World Tour stops later this year.

“We just loved the play on words,” says Lady A’s Hillary Scott. “We thought it was clever, but also really hits you straight in the heart, which is how you feel when you’re trying to move on from a relationship. And obviously, for us as a band coming off of a break, it was just a little play on words.”

“Our new record Heart Break is based on a song we wrote when we were down in Florida last fall,” explains Lady A’s Dave Haywood. “This idea came about having a time to take a breather between different relationships, so the idea started as wanting to take a heart break for a summer or a heart break for a few months. And I think once we wrote this song, we really felt like we started to find the direction for the rest of this record and the rest of this project, which is why we wanted to title it that.

The group, who is currently sitting at No. 10 on the Mediabase country chart with “You Look Good,” will take their You Look Good World Tour to Camden, New Jersey on Friday (June 23rd), Bristow, Virginia on Saturday (June 24th) and Cincinnati, Ohio  on Sunday (June 25th).

DAVE: “So, our new record Heart Break is based on a song we wrote when we were down in Florida last fall. This idea came about having a time to take a breather between different relationships, so the idea started as wanting to take a heart break for a summer or a heart break for a few months. And I think once we wrote this song, we really felt like we started to find the direction for the rest of this record and the rest of this project, which is why we wanted to title it that. We somehow, I felt like, we stumbled onto some really stuff writing, I think.” CHARLES: “Great sounds too.” HILLARY: “We wrote this song with Jesse Frasure and Nicolle Galyon, who are two of our dearest friends here in town and have written incredible songs for other artists. We just loved the play on words. We thought it was clever, but also really hits you straight in the heart, which is how you feel when you’re trying to move on from a relationship. And obviously, for us as a band coming off of a break, it was just a little play on words.”
