Luke Bryan’s success isn’t going to his head. The reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year has been giving back in a BIG way. Last weekend, he wrapped his fifth annual Farm Tour, performing for 115,000 fans and raising funds for several scholarships that will be awarded to students of farming families in eight cities. That’s not all – on Wednesday night, he headlined a private concert in Augusta, Georgia where a portion of the proceeds will fund a camp program for patients at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia. “I think when you partner a camp and a staff that knows how to deal with each disease, and cater to helping the child with that disease get through, I think that’s what’s special about camps like that,” says Luke.

Bryan says that five years ago, one of his children had to be admitted into the Children’s Hospital of Georgia because of a stomach condition, so when the hospital and The Family Y called him, he said it was a no-brainer to play the show. “My wife and I, we were brand new parents. We didn’t know what we were doing and to be thrust into a situation that was that scary, you learned how special this place is, right off the bat.”

Luke, who will kick off a two-night stand in Nashville on Friday, is poised to take over the top stop on the country singles charts with his latest smash hit, “That’s My Kind of Night.”

Luke Bryan (giving back) OC: …little bit back. :27
“I’m lucky and blessed to have fans and just the health to get out on the road to do this day in and day out. You always hear the saying, ‘Bad things happen to good people,’ and that happens too much and too often. I think it’s easy to do charity. I think it’s easy for me, and I know life is pretty dang fragile and you gotta give back. You can’t just take all the time. You can’t keep taking and expect that to keep working for you, so you’ve got to do what you can to give a little bit back.”
