Maddie & Tae hit the top of both the Country Aircheck and Billboard country charts with their smash single “Die From a Broken Heart.” The tune was written by the duo, along with Jonathan Singleton and Deric Ruttan just two weeks after Tae suffered a heartbreak. The pair scored their first No. 1 in 2014 with “Girl in a Country Song,” marking “Die From a Broken Heart” only their second chart-topper.
The two are so grateful to their fans, country radio and everyone who played a part in their success with “Die From a Broken Heart.” In an audio message to Country Radio, they are so thankful to Country Radio for their support. “We just want to thank you so much for changing the game for us and making ‘Die From a Broken Heart’ number-one, BABY!,” says Maddie. Tae added, “We are on cloud nine. Thank you so much for believing in us. We love you.”
