George Strait joins Chris Stapleton, Kris Kristofferson, Sheryl Crow, Miranda Lambert, Shooter Jennings, Snoop Dogg, The chicks, Dwight Yoakam, Emmylou Harris, Billy Strings, Dave Matthews and many others to celebrate Willie Nelson’s 90th birthday at the Hollywood Bowl Saturday (April 29th) and Sunday (April 30th). Chelsea Handler, Ethan Hawke, Gabriel Iglesias, Helen Mirren, Jennifer Garner, Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson have been added as presenters at “Long Story Short: Willie Nelson 90, A Star-Studded Concert” Celebrating Willie’s 90th Birthday celebration.

The recent tribute concert to the late George Jones, “Still Playin’ Possum: Music & Memories of George Jones,” will be made into a PBS Television special, according to Billboard. On Tuesday (April 25th), artists such as Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, Wynonna, Jelly Roll and Tanya Tucker performed at the Propst Arena at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama to honor the “Possum” with renditions of his biggest songs, including “Tennessee Whiskey,” “White Lightnin'” and “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” among others. A date for the PBS special should be forthcoming soon.
