Luke Bryan (Crash My Playa 6) OC: …be a part of it. :52
“Crash My Playa is the most enjoyable things I’ve ever done in my career. To get to go mid to late January down in Mexico, get a good suntan on and go sing your music and just have a big onstage party. The past couple of years, I have called my buddy Jason Aldean, and he, I think he’s been having children. He’s been doing stuff like that, and finally he’s got a window where he’s gonna make it this year, and I’m excited to hang with him down at the beach. The beauty of having Jason is the night he’s on stage, I can crash the stage and vice versa. He and I can play some old songs he and I used to play when we were on tour together there. So, it’ll be real, real organic and authentic up there, and it’s just gonna be fun hanging with Jason in Mexico, and I’m so glad he signed on to be a part of it.”

Luke Bryan (American Idol 2 finale) OC: …potential of year three. 1:00
“I think as we got into the first year and America really started watching what we were doing and then now, just the talent level this year has been amazing. I mean, our Top 10 was really, really something special to watch. Every person that’s went home in the Top 10 has been a dagger to the heart. I think we’ve really set forth what our show is about now. It’s about uplifting this talent, bringing ‘em, encouraging them, and just making sure that when they walk in the doors of Idol, we’re gonna give ‘em great feedback and we’re gonna look after ‘em and treat ‘em as good as we can. Tat’s the main thing. Me, Lionel and Katy, we have to enjoy our role, we have to enjoy interacting together, and it’s so fun being up there with them in the trenches and stressing with them about who’s going through to the next round and stuff like that. So, I’m loving the show and looking forward to the potential of year three

  • TRAVIS DENNING RELEASES THE VIDEO FOR HIS LATEST SONG, “AFTER A FEW.”

Travis Denning has released the official music video for his current single “After A Few,” watch HERE. Directed by Justin Clough, the mysterious video depicts scenes of Denning playing a heated game of poker in the back room of a smoky bar, while other shots illustrate his masterful guitar playing. The video parallels the song’s lyrics through the poker game by intensifying the stakes with the lead character’s relationship. The video was shot at Beer Sellar in Nashville, Tennessee.

“This video was so much fun to make, mainly due to the fact it was my first time acting in a video. Whether I did a good job or not is debatable,” jokes Travis. “But Justin Clough nailed the idea and the storyline. I think the big gamble of the poker game along with chasing the innuendo with someone that you love for all the wrong reasons go hand in hand when it comes to the emotions.”

2019 has been a busy year for Travis as he recently wrapped his first headlining “Heartbeat Of A Small Town” tour, and even performed at the famed C2C Festival in the UK as well as Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California. The singer/songwriter is set to perform at Nissan Stadium during the upcoming CMA Fest and it was just announced that he will return to Europe and the UK this October as part of CMA’s international touring series.

A native of Warner Robins, Georgia, Denning vividly remembers the moment he realized he wanted to pursue music for a living. He was seven years old sitting in his Dad’s truck and heard AC/DC for the first time. From then on, he was hooked and devoured all types of music from country, pop, rock and heavy metal. Travis started playing local bars at the age of 16 and built a solid following from his distinctive songs and raucous guitar licks. He moved to Nashville in 2014 and within a year signed a publishing deal with Jeremy Stover’s RED Creative Group. After securing outside cuts by Jason Aldean, Justin Moore, Michael Ray and Chase Rice he caught the attention of Universal Music Group where he eventually signed a record deal in 2017. Travis released his new single “After A Few” which he co-wrote with Kelly Archer and Justin Weaver following his Top 40 debut single “David Ashley Parker From Powder Springs”. Travis was selected as a CMA KixStart Artist Scholarship as well as Opry NextStage recipient and will receive unique opportunities to participate in events as well as connect with industry professionals.  When Travis is not touring, he is in the studio working on his debut album.

Travis Denning (AAF video) OC: …act in it. :50
“One thing I loved about the treatment for the After a Few music video is Justin Clough, who directed it, just had this great idea of the similarities between the relationship and taking a gamble on that and actually taking a gamble on a poker game. And so, we decided to kind of have this story line of me and this girl that I just couldn’t help but go back to and every drink was a gamble into falling back in her arms. And then this other side where I’m going up playing poker and getting more confident and winning money and then finally, everything comes to a T with going all in on this hand, and all of a sudden, I’m all in with her. I just thought it was so cool, and it was just great how the cinematic aspect completely mirrored one another. It was fun to act in it.”

Audio / Travis Denning talks about the difference between his videos for "After a Few" and "David Ashley Parker From Powder Springs."

Travis Denning (AAF-DAP video) OC: …to see that. :23
“Filming ‘After a Few’ was so much more different from ‘David Ashley Parker,’ because I actually acted in this music video, and it was cool. It was something I wanted to do, and I really enjoyed it. I think one thing people can really expect is having a look at a different side of me. Hint, hint, it’s a side of me without wearing a hat, which a lot of people don’t see, so I’m just excited for people to see that.”

  • CARRIE UNDERWOOD AND LUKE BRYAN ANNOUNCED AS PERFORMERS AT THIS YEAR’S CMT MUSIC AWARDS.

Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan are among the initial performers just announced for this year’s CMT Music Awards. They’ll be joined on the show by Dan + Shay, Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris and Thomas Rhett. More performances will be announced in the coming weeks.

Fans can vote for the 2019 CMT Music Awards nominees at vote.cmt.com until 11:59pm on June 4th.

Little Big Town will host the 2019 CMT Music Awards, which will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena June 5th at 8pm ET/7pm CT.

  • KEITH URBAN RELEASES HIS NEW SONG, “WE WERE.”

After teasing his return to the recording studio, reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year Keith Urban released his new single today. “We Were” is a reflective, mid-tempo ode to mischievous youth. “I like the idea that life just happens,” says Keith. “At some point, whether in the moment or not, you just gotta go with it.”

The track’s emotive emotive and picturesque lyrics elicit memories to which most can relate. This, as Keith says, is what drew him to the song. “When I first heard ‘We Were,’ I not only heard it, but saw it. It made me feel something. The imagery is so strong — a stamp on the back of the hand, a Saturday night cover band, the girlfriend (or boyfriend) we ran with and a fake i.d., which of course I never had.  So many of us can relate or will relate at some point!”

“We Were” was written by Ryan Tyndell, Jeff Hyde and Eric Church and was co-produced by Keith Urban and Dann Huff.

  • ADAM HAMBRICK MAKES HIS GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUT.

Capitol Records Nashville’s Adam Hambrick celebrated his debut performance at the Grand Ole Opry Saturday evening. Introduced by long-standing Opry member, Jeannie Seely, Adam performed his debut single “Rockin’ All Night Long” and showcased his vocal ability singing his powerful song “Broken Ladder.” Playing the historic venue marked a special milestone moment for the singer-songwriter. “In a lot of ways, The Opry is the heart of country music. It’s where it was born, and it’s the common thread that winds through its history. To me, playing that stage is getting to be a part of a tradition that has shaped my love for music and storytelling,” states Adam.

The night was especially meaningful to Adam as he stepped into the circle for the first time and spoke about the recent passing of his grandfather, who he had always hoped would see him play the Opry stage. The guitar Adam played for his debut was the one his grandfather gave him, as a moving tribute to the man who inspired his love of country music.

Earlier this year, Adam performed at the famed C2C Fest in the UK as well as Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California and just wrapped up a string of west coast dates opening for Brett Young. Adam recently released the “catchy summer anthem” (Billboard) “All You, All Night, All Summer,” listen HERE. Additionally, he wrote and recorded the heartfelt “Looking Out For Me” which is featured on the Breakthrough film soundtrack. Adam’s debut single “Rockin’ All Night Long” is currently climbing the charts at country radio.

To learn more about Adam and his music, check out his official website HERE.

Audio / Adam Hambrick said his grandfather, who recently passed away, was planning on coming to Nashville for Adam's Opry debut.

Adam Hambrick (Opry debut) OC: …on coming. 1:12
“Since moving to Nashville, I’ve taken just kind of a great interest in the history of country music and where country music comes from, why it is the way it is right now and maybe where it’s going. The Grand Ole Opry is the constant thread. I mean it’s the launch pad for country music as a genre, it’s a launch pad for artists throughout the years. It’s a really big honor to step on that stage and feel that kinship with so many artists and so many people who have come before, people who have sweat and bled to make it to that stage. The Grand Ole Opry is special because my Papaw, he was such a bluegrass fan – Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs – he loved bluegrass music and he made me love it. I knew at some point I’d be making a Grand Ole Opry debut, and we’d talk on the phone, and I’d always tell him, ‘Papaw, now whenever we make our Grand Ole Opry debut, you’ve got to come.’ He’d always say, ‘I’ll be there. I’ll be there.’ Which is funny, because Papaw does not leave the farm, did not leave the farm, right? Like he stayed in Arkansas and didn’t go anywhere. He knew about it. He knew when the date was, and he was planning on coming.”

  • LUKE BRYAN TO PERFORM ON AMERICAN IDOL FINALE ON SUNDAY.

Country music superstar and American Idol judge Luke Bryan is set to perform on the season 2 finale of ABC’s American Idol this Sunday, May 19th.  He’ll sing with Idol contestant Laci Kaye Booth and Luke will also perform his new single “Knockin’ Boots.”

On March 29 Luke livestreamed an acoustic performance of the “Knockin’ Boots” from his home on his Facebook page. The video was one of the most-viewed clips by a musician in its first seven days of release, racking up 1.7 million views (currently 2.8 million) landing it at the #1 spot on Billboard’s Top Facebook Live Videos chart.
“Knockin’ Boots” was written by Hillary Lindsey, Gordie Sampson and Jon Nite and is available at all digital retailers HERE. The song follows Luke’s recent 22nd career #1 single “What Makes You Country,” the fourth consecutive #1 song from his What Makes You Country album.
After the American Idol finale Luke will launch his “Sunset Repeat Tour” on May 31st in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the BB&T Pavilion. The tour, which will also feature Cole Swindell and Jon Langston, will run through October and it was recently announced the schedule will include two stadiums dates- Gillette Stadium on June 21st and wrapping up the tour in Detroit at Ford Field on October 25th.
  • VINCE GILL ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM “OKIE” AVAILABLE AUGUST 23RD.

GRAMMY Award-winning MCA Nashville country star Vince Gill announced today that his new album, Okie, will be released on August 23. Along with the announcement comes the premiere of a new  focus track titled “A Letter To My Mama,” listen HERE.  Gill wrote or co-wrote all 12 songs on Okie.

The album’s title is taken from the once-derogatory term used to disparage migrants from Oklahoma to the nation’s west coast during the Dust Bowl and Great Depression eras. A proud Oklahoman, Gill has appropriated this term on an album that embraces his roots and explores some of the most important issues of our time.

“I thought this was going to be a songwriter record, not a concept album,” Gill says. “It wound up being more information than I’d envisioned. A friend sent me an email saying, ‘You could have only written this record after living a 60-year-plus life.’ He said, ‘There’s no struggle in these songs, just truth and your experience.”

Okie marks Gill’s most recent solo album since 2016’s Down To My Last Bad Habit and 2011’s Guitar Slinger.  In 2013, Gill partnered with famed steel guitarist Paul Franklin on Bakersfield as a tribute to the “Bakersfield sound” of Buck Owens and Merle Haggard. With 21 GRAMMY Awards to his credit.  Gill has solidified his place as country music’s most eloquent and impassioned champion. He is both a world-class musician and a wide-ranging songwriter whose compositions earned him entry into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005 and the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007. Gill has also made appearances on over 1000 artists’ records.

In 2017, Gill was invited to join the Eagles for their worldwide tour, and later this month he will again join the band for the European leg of their upcoming tour with stops in Antwerp, Belgium, Cologne, Germany and Amsterdam.
