Carrie Underwood has released “Southbound” as her new single, just in time for her summer tour. She co-wrote the song, the latest from her No. 1 debuting album Cry Pretty, with her producer David Garcia, as well as collaborator Josh Miller.

“We get in a room, and I had the title. I was like this sounds like fun, I think. We can do something fun with this,” says Carrie. “So, Katie, we wanted to make her like have a little too much fun, but for every line we came out with, it was like well we don’t want her to be like – we don’t want it to be sad. We still had to make Katie have a little respect but wanted to just get it out there that some people were having too much fun. It surprisingly took us a while to write it but by the end of it, it was like, ‘Well, this is a lot of fun.’ I feel like everybody kind of gravitated towards that one when we were all done with it.”

The Cry Pretty Tour 360, which also features Maddie & Tae and Runaway June, launches May 1st in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The NFL Draft has taken over downtown Nashville, and the entire city, including the country music industry is celebrating the Draft coming to Music City USA.

Caylee Hammack follows the debut music video for “Family Tree” with a behind-the-scenes look at how its autobiographical lyrics were brought to life. With “one of the wildest life stories of any rising artist” (CMT), “Behind the Family Tree” shares an inside peek of personal tokens throughout each scene and reveals real-life family and friends who make special appearances. Jordan Davis earns the No.1 most added song at country radio this week with his new single “Slow Dance In A Parking Lot,” listen HERE. The sentimental track was written by Jordan along with Lonnie Lee Fowler and follows Jordan’s back-to-back No.1 hit singles “Singles You Up” as well as “Take It From Me.” Jordan co-wrote all three tracks included on his debut album, Home State, which continues to accumulate impressive sales and streaming numbers, nearing 500M total streams, since its release last March.
