  • HILLARY SCOTT & THE SCOTT FAMILY SCORE THEIR FIRST NO. 1 SONG.

Hillary Scott & the Scott Family will release their faith-based album, Love Remains, on Friday (July 29th), and the first single from the project, “Thy Will,” has already reached the top of Billboard’s Hot Christian Singles chart.

Hillary wrote “Thy Will” following her miscarriage last fall, while she was kind of asking God why would this happen to her and her family.

“For me, the story is when we were on tour last summer, my husband Chris and I just decided we wanted to expand our family. We got pregnant in July and then miscarried in September,” says Hillary. “And so ‘Thy Will’ is me talking to God and asking him why, like, ‘Okay, I thought this was a go. We prayed about it. We were going to bring Eisele a sibling and for all of it to kind of not happen.’ It was my honest conversation with God about why do bad things happen, but ultimately I trust your will for my life and that it’s all going to be okay. So, to be able to write that song was such a part of my healing process for me in the beginning and now even more so with it being out and having people’s feedback in their own lives and the stories that they are sharing with me in how this song is touching them.”

Hillary and her husband Chris Tyrell, the drummer for Lady Antebellum, have a daughter Eisele who just turned three-years-old today (Friday, July 22nd).

Audio / Hillary Scott wrote her current single “Thy Will” about questioning God’s plan for her life following her miscarriage last year. She wanted to wait to reveal what sort of personal heartbreak she was going through when she released the song to give people a chance to relate to the song with their own journeys.

“It really was an intentional decision, just because I wanted everybody have a chance to hear it and put their own life and their own story in it. • CLARE DUNN’S DREAM COME TRUE.

Clare Dunn has always had a dream of performing on stage, even while she was working on her family farm in southeast Colorado. She was always looking for her next gig.

“My parents raised us with this attitude of just do what it takes; however you can make something out of nothing, do it. So, I would go buy karaoke tapes, and I would go sing anywhere I could growing up,” says Clare. “I was heavily involved in a dance studio back home, and so I would sing at the dance recitals, and then I would dance. I would sing at pageants and I would sing the national anthem at ballgames when I was in high school, and I played sports. I was always begging my coaches, like, ‘Can I please sing the National Anthem?’ like before my own game.”

Her very first performance was when she was just six-years-old at the Boise City, Oklahoma Hee Haw. “I sang George Strait’s ‘Heartland.’ My mom just asked me, ‘Do you think you want to do this? ‘Cause I was always singing, and I said, ‘Yeah!’ Since then, that was really the defining moment for me that I knew that I wanted to entertain,” she recalls. “I really remember being a little girl, and people clapped and I was surprised at that. I was like [laughs], ‘They like this? You mean I could like singing as much as this and maybe they would like whatever I’m doing?’ I thought that was amazing, and so that was kind of the start for me.”

You can catch the guitar-slinger performing her latest single, “Tuxedo,” on the Next Women of Country show on CMT August 2nd and on the road. Go to claredunn.com for more information.

    eric paslay 2eric paslay 1

Eric Paslay’s new single, “Angels In This Town,” hit radio this week and was met with an amazing response from early believers. Earlier this year, when Eric first started playing the song at shows he was inspired to deliver the message of the song in a tangible way by making visits to local “angels” in the towns he was playing.  So far he has made visits to the Norfolk, NE fire department, Boys and Girls Club of Austin, TX and Toronto, Habitat for Humanity build in Virginia Beach, VA and the Ronald McDonald House at WakeMed in Raleigh, NC.  Upcoming visits are planned throughout the rest of 2016, but will not be announced ahead of time.

“As we tour around the country, I’m so thrilled to be doing what we’ve decided to call “Angel Visits.” We’re stopping by different organizations where the employees and volunteers are truly creating miracles and impacting other people’s lives in the best way. The least I can do is go and thank them personally.” said Eric. “Good vibes are contagious, and I hope by visiting places like local Fire Departments, Habitat for Humanity Builds, Children’s Hospitals and so many others, we inspire positivity in each community and beyond. It’s a real honor for me to be around folks who are doing such good in the world.”

As a special treat for fans, Eric has begun to put together digital pieces that give a unique and behind-the-scenes look at the making of various songs on the forthcoming album. Fans will get to hear not only from Eric but also the other writers and learn about the process of putting pen-to-paper all the way through finishing a song. A story-behind-the-song video for “Angels in This Town” may be viewed  HERE

“Angels in This Town” is available for download at all digital retail outlets. To stream the song, visit the “Angels In This Town” playlist HERE.

  • HILLARY SCOTT & THE SCOTT FAMILY PREVIEW MUSIC FROM THEIR UPCOMING ALBUM, LOVE REMAINS.

    Hillary 1Hillary 2

Hillary Scott & The Scott Family gathered with over 200 of their closest friends and family last night (July 20th) at Nashville’s The Bell Tower, as they introduced music from their upcoming album LOVE REMAINS (EMI Nashville), available July 29th.

The intimate evening maximized the group’s harmonies with newly-written originals such as “Safe Haven” and “Beautiful Messes,” while a surprise performance from coveted producer Ricky Skaggs on a number of songs including “We March On” and “Your Unfailing Love.” Before the evening ended, the Lady Antebellum member Hillary Scott mesmerized the crowd with the record’s sonically stunning first single “Thy Will,” which earned the No. One spot this week on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart.

LOVE REMAINS, a 13-track collection of faith-based songs, is a combination of hymns Hillary grew up singing in church, newly-written originals and songs made popular by other artists. With the help of producer Ricky Skaggs, the forthcoming album blurs the lines between gospel, bluegrass, country and pop. At the center of the mix are the rich, entwined voices of the Scotts, who take turns harmonizing and singing lead. These are songs that find the redemption in struggle, the peace in death, the joy in bonding with family members whenever times are tough. The stories behind the songs are personal, it’s music with a message and Hillary has rarely sounded more at home. LOVE REMAINS follows more than 11 million album sales worldwide for Hillary Scott as one-third of the one of the world’s most popular groups, Lady Antebellum.  The trio has earned six PLATINUM singles and dubbed ACM and CMA “Vocal Group of the Year” three years in a row. • LUKE BRYAN IS ON THE ‘MOVE.’

Luke Bryan has just released his new single, “Move,” the fifth single from his Kill the Lights album. The song that he wrote with his bandmate, Michael Carter, and Jay Clementi, is the follow-up to his previous four No. 1 hits from Kill the Lights – “Kick the Dust Up,” “Striip It Down,” “Home Alone Tonight” and “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day.”

Luke says “Move” features all of the fun you could have in a song. “It’s what I envision, big ole country dance clubs across the country playing that and it filling up and everybody having a great time,” says Luke. “There’s a little inside story about a girl that moves to the south and she’s kind of shy and then she gets in with these kind of rebel crowd girls and they teach her how to let her hair down and all that, it’s pretty fun. A lot of imagery in that. Kind of a cool picture painted in that, and [I’m] really proud that I got to write that song with Michael Carter and Jay Clementi.”

You can catch Luke “moving” on stage when his Kill the Lights Tour makes a stop in Scranton on Thursday (July 21st) and Pittsburgh on Friday (July 22nd) and Saturday (July 23rd).
