  • DIERKS BENTLEY SET TO PREMIERE THE VIDEO FOR ‘DIFFERENT FOR GIRLS’ WITH DUET PARTNER, ELLE KING.

Dierks Bentley premieres the video for his latest single, “Different for Girls,” his duet with Elle King on NBC’S Today Show and Access Hollywood on Wednesday (July 20th). Additionally, Today host Dylan Dreyer sits down with the collaborators on the Brooklyn, New York set as they share a behind-the-scenes look with fans at the making of the video (7/20 at 9:00A ET/CT on NBC). “Different For Girls” enters the  Top 20 this week.

“I like how the song creates some dialogue about the different ways guys and girls deal with heartbreak,” said Bentley. “The video shows both sides of the stereotype and in the end, the ‘girl’ is the one who works through it and is able to move on.  Wes and I have made a lot of videos together, and he always nails it.”

Hailed as a stand out track by critics ranging from Rolling Stone to PEOPLE to StereoGum, the thought provoking new video was directed by Wes Edwards and follows two people as they navigate the seemingly insurmountable task of getting over a broken heart.

“The same character who handles a breakup with a mind-numbing bender in ‘Beach’ reaches a new level of maturity in ‘Different for Girls,’ recognizing that women typically take a more sensible approach to emotional healing” – Billboard

  • SAM HUNT ENTERS THE TOP 10 WITH HIS LATEST SINGLE, ‘MAKE YOU MISS ME.’

Sam Hunt has cracked the Top 10 on the country charts with his latest single, “Make You Miss Me,” which  makes him the first solo male artist since Mark Chesnutt in 1991 to have songs from his debut album hit Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.

The song, which Sam wrote with Josh Osborne, Matt Ramsey, is about a guy who wants to make himself as unforgettable to a particular girl as possible.

It’s implied that he wants to make her miss him the way that he misses her when she’s not with him,” says Sam. “The attitude of the singer is a confident one, but there’s also a vulnerability there because he really likes this girl and he misses her, so his only option is to make sure that he’s not forgettable, and he figures out a way to make her miss him.”

You can catch Sam performing “Make You Miss Me” when he makes a stop at Cheyenne Frontier Days Thursday (July 22nd) and at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington on Friday (July 23rd) as part of Kenny Chesney’s 2016 Spread the Love Stadium Tour.

Sam Hunt (Make You Miss Me) OC: …miss him. :50
“This sentiment came out of knowing a girl who, and girls in general, that tend to have the personality to be very into something one minute and over it the next, and not really ever having been in a relationship with a guy because she was over before it could get started. This is a song about a guy who says he’s not gonna let that happen. He’s gonna be memorable. He’s gonna make her miss him. It’s implied that he wants to make her miss him the way that he misses her when she’s not with him. The attitude of the singer is a confident one, but there’s also a vulnerability there because he really likes this girl and he misses her, so his only option is to make sure that he’s not forgettable, and he figures out a way to make her miss him.”

  • DAVID NAIL FULFILLS A GOAL WITH HIS NEW ALBUM, ‘FIGHTER.’

David Nail’s new album, Fighter, will be making a lot of people happy when they listen to all 11 tracks, and for David, that’s wonderful, but he also wanted to make himself happy. His fourth studio album, which was released on Friday (July 15th), includes several fulfilling goals for the singer, including his collaboration with one of his biggest influences, Vince Gill, on the song “I Won’t Let You Go.”

“I always treat a record like if this is my swan song, like if this is the last piece of music that I ever make, selfishly like I want to push my buttons,” says David. “I want to make me happy. I want it to fulfill some of my goals in life. One of my biggest influences in the world is Vince Gill, so I kinda had always wanted Vince to sing on a song…I’m so thankful and so blessed that he said yes.”

David wrote or co-wrote seven of the 11 songs on the album and even recorded other collaborations with Lori McKenna on “Home,” Logan Brill on “Champagne Promise,” Brothers Osborne on “Good at Tonight,” as well as “Old Man’s Symphony,” which features Bear and Bo Rinehart of Needtobreathe.

On Sunday (July 17th), David threw out the first pitch at the Philadelphia Phillies baseball game as they played host to the New York Mets.

David is set to perform his latest single, “Night’s on Fire,” on NBC’s Today Show on Monday (July 18th).

But when I wrote that song, we decided that we were gonna record it and when we started recording it, it was just the most obvious things in the world. I’m so thankful and so blessed that he said yes.”

“I just felt like there was some people that were my idea. Lori McKenna helped write ‘Home,’ and just hearing her sing the demo was really important for me to have her. I love her voice. The Brothers Osborne song they co-wrote, so it was just natural. I’d just been on the road with them for three or four months. This sounds really ridiculous, but hey man, if it all ends tomorrow, like I can go back to Kennett, Missouri and say, ‘Man! Vince Gill just sang on my record. Lee Ann Womack just sang on my record, Lori McKenna, Sarah Buxton, you know, and that makes me feel like hey, not only were they great songs, but those people thought enough of me as an artist to agree to do it, to want to do it, to be a part of it, and so that’s fulfilling to me as an artist.”

  • CANAAN SMITH INTRODUCES A NEW INITIATIVE, SMASH CANCER.

Canaan Smith just announced his new charitable initiative, Smash Cancer, which benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. On stage earlier this year, Smith had an impulse to smash something, and seeing the overwhelming fan response led Canaan to an idea of how to make all this fun on stage also an opportunity for one of the charities he holds most dear.

Canaan now autographs the drum and auctions it off after each show to fans in attendance to raise money for the organization. Prior to its official launch, Smash Cancer has already raised nearly $20,000 for St. Jude, with Guitar Center generously donating a considerable number of drum sets and guitars to the cause.

I’m so grateful we can use ‘Angels in This Town’ to shine a light on all the good that happens every day in our world,” said Paslay. “I’m excited for it to be heard and for it to bring hope and positivity into people’s lives.”

Paslay will be a special guest on the nationally syndicated radio show, “The Bobby Bones Show,” when “Angels in This Town” is played live on Monday, July 18th. “I am super-pumped to be playing this song on the Bobby Bones show. The unique single art is by Original Street Art by Kelsey Montague, located at 11th Ave. South in the Gulch, between the Gulch Crossing and Velocity buildings, Nashville, Tenn.  Montague is an internationally renowned artist that explores how public art, interactive art and social media intersect.  Her murals invite people into the piece and then to share online.  “I believe that art should not be separated from the human experience.  Instead the human experience should have a hand in creating the art itself,” said Montague on her website. • DAVID NAIL IS A ‘FIGHTER’ FOR HIS CURRENT SINGLE.

David Nail releases his new album, Fighter, on Friday (July 15th), and it features his latest single “Night’s on Fire,” which he fought pretty hard to include on his latest album.

“I knew there was a story behind it, and sure enough it was on hold with another artist. I thought to myself – I won’t say the name – but they had just released a single so I knew they couldn’t be recording it any time soon,” says David. “So, that’s really the first time that I’ve ever tried to manipulate the situation with a song. I immediately started saying, ‘Well, that person’s not close to making a record. They just released another song off this record, and here I am going in the studio next Wednesday. Do you want to guarantee yourself a cut?’ You know, just playing that whole game that publishers and labels and artists play. I even went to the songwriter Jonathan Singleton and was in his ear and texting him.”

David wrote or co-wrote seven of the 11 songs on Fighter, his fourth studio album.

    Fighter Track List:

    1. “Good at Tonight (featuring Brothers Osborne)
    2. Night’s on Fire
    3. Ease Your Pain
    4. Home (featuring Lori McKenna)
    5. Lie With Me
    6. I Won’t Let You Go (featuring Vince Gill)
    7. Fighter
    8. Babies
    9. Got Me Gone
    10. Champagne Promise
    11. Old Man’s Symphony (featuring Bear and Bo Rinehart of NEEDTOBREATHE)
