• ERIC PASLAY’S NEW SINGLE, ‘HIGH CLASS,’ IS THE NO. 1 MOST ADDED SONG AT COUNTRY RADIO THIS WEEK!

EMI Records Nashville breakthrough country artist Eric Paslay releases his new single “High Class” from the celebrated singer-songwriter’s highly-anticipated sophomore album today. Co-penned by Paslay, Corey Crowder and Jesse Frasure, the back beat-driven groove is the No. 1 most added song at Country radio this week.

“High Class is a song for everyone. It’s about seizing the moment, putting your worries aside and enjoying a night out as if you have no cares in the world.  I’m excited to release this song as the first look into my second album,” shares Paslay. “I promised myself and my fans that I would always do my best to never record the same song or the same album twice. I feel like I have kept that promise, and I can’t wait for my fans to hear more new music!”

Since releasing his critically-acclaimed debut self-titled album, Paslay has celebrated a No. 1 with smash Platinum-selling hit “Friday Night” as well as GOLD-certification for “Song About A Girl” and success with his powerful ballad single “She Don’t Love You.” A true artists’ artist, the Texas native co-penned five No. 1 hits as a songwriter including “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” (Eli Young Band), “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” (Jake Owen), “Angel Eyes” (Love & Theft), “Rewind” (Rascal Flatts) and “Friday Night.” An ACM, CMA and GRAMMY-nominee Paslay has been sought after for his songwriting prowess by artists including Steven Tyler, Lady Antebellum and Hunter Hayes.

Fans have the exclusive opportunity to hear Paslay’s new music first this fall as he joins Chris Young on the cross-country I’m Comin’ Over tour and Brad Paisley for dates on the Country Nation College Tour presented by Zaxby’s playing surprise pop-up shows on college campuses during football season.

  • CHARLES KELLEY OF LADY ANTEBELLUM REVEALS DETAILS ABOUT HIS BRAND NEW SOLO SINGLE, ‘THE DRIVER.’

Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley revealed details about his new solo single, “The Driver,” on Good Morning America, and he squashed any rumors of a band breakup. Charles tells ABC’s Juju Chang, “Lady Antebellum is always going to be my priority. There was just this artistic pull that I just wanted to just try this.”

“The Driver” is the debut single from his forthcoming solo project on Capitol Records Nashville. It was written by Charles, Eric Paslay and Abe Stoklasa.

His unmatched perspective of hours spent on the road pursuing a life-long dream is present through his impeccable voice, along with special guests Dierks Bentley and Paslay.

“The perspective seemed like a Crosby, Stills, and Nash story song,” Charles says of the lyrics. “We went in the studio to record it with no agenda. I thought maybe it’ll be the start of the next Lady Antebellum record, maybe we’ll scrap it, maybe I’ll pitch the song to other singers.”

“Having Hillary and Dave’s support means a lot to me,” adds Kelley. “We love each other and we’re having a blast. This was just a pure musical detour, to take myself out of my own head and off the treadmill for a minute. I hope and think it can bring in a fresh perspective when we go back in to make the next Lady Antebellum record.”

Fans who missed Kelley’s sit-down with ABC’s Juju Chang this morning can watch it HERE and listen to “The Driver” here:http://umgn.us/cktdv

Tonight, Kelley will also appear on ABC’s Nightline (ABC at 11:35P CT) when Lady Antebellum takes cameras backstage for their sold out first headlining hometown arena show in Nashville. For more information and for a full list of upcoming appearances, visit www.facebook.com/CharlesKelley.

Charles Kelley (new project started with The Driver) OC: …different sound. :55
“You know I think picking the songs for me was the most fun part of the project. It started out, the main catalyst was I wrote a song called ‘The Driver,’ which is my first single, and I wrote it with a buddy of mine, Eric Paslay, and Abe Stoklasa. It just felt like for me that I was one of the songs that I was most proud of. It felt like one of the best songs I’d written in a long, long time. You know I think that song, once Dierks Bentley, I played it for him and he wanted to sign on, it really kind of, I don’t know, it was like the stars were aligning that this project really could happen, you know? So, in having a talk with Dave and Hillary about taking a break, it was just kind of perfect timing to chase after this. I don’t know, this was a perfect opportunity for me to kind of chase down a little bit of a different sound.”

  • GEORGE STRAIT’S ‘STRAIT TO VEGAS’ DATES ARE SOLD OUT!

Fans were ecstatic when George Strait announced that he would be heading to Sin City for an exclusive concert series at the Las Vegas Arena in 2016 and releasing his new album, Cold Beer Conversation, last week. The demand for new music from Strait translated to an immediate sellout of all six dates of his “Strait to Vegas” run after tickets went on sale today, with more dates to be added. The staggering response from fans already prompted Strait to add two shows to the series, which is currently scheduled for April 22, April 23, September 9, September 10, December 2 and December 3, 2016. GRAMMY, ACM and CMA Award-winning singer/songwriter Kacey Musgraves will join him as support for the full run.

With the release of the 13-track Cold Beer Conversation, fans and critics alike have made it known that the “King of Country Music” remains at the top of his game. The Plain Dealer proclaims that “the hardest part about reviewing George Strait’s surprise new album, Cold Beer Conversation, is deciding which of the 13 tracks to gush over first” and describes the instantly relatable title cut, which is also the lead single at country radio now, as “a great little ditty about ‘a couple of ol’ boys’ just sharing a few brews, reminiscing about high school football, worrying about aging parents and trying to figure out the world.”

The Associated Press notes, “Cold Beer Conversation is vintage Strait. He has such a strong vocal presence… the highlights prove that Strait remains at the top of his game: From the casual way he captures a meaningful talk between buddies on the title cut to the melodic intimacy of ‘Let It Go’ to the jaunty swing of ‘It Takes All Kinds,’ the album adds another gem to one of country music’s deepest, most entertaining catalogs” and Billboardechoes that reverence, observing that “the key to Strait’s success is that he brings a different flavor and nuance to each song, even if the subject matter is similar. More than 30 years since his MCA Nashville debut (he’s still on the same label after all these decades), his smooth tenor is as clear as ever and each subtlety — a well-placed chuckle, a tiny sigh — still resonates.”

Cold Beer Conversation is available now at Apple Music and Walmart.

With 60 No. 1 singles and nearly 70 million records sold, Strait is the most-nominated artist in CMA Awards history and was the first country music artist honored with Billboard’s “Legend Of Live” Award. His last show, which took place at AT&T Stadium on June 7, 2014, shattered the North American attendance record for an indoor concert with 104,793 ticket-holders.

We don’t have a release date for the album or anything, but I haven’t had music out in so long that we wanted to give people music now that was ready, and we don’t have all the stuff worked out for the album yet. • GEORGE STRAIT’S ‘COLD BEER CONVERSATION’ IS A PERFECT FIT.

George Strait’s Cold Beer Conversation has a very cool and descriptive title, which hit the Texas native right away, so he decided to call this new collection…Cold Beer Conversation after one of the songs on his brand new album.

“What a perfect title. I never go in to the studio with a title in mind. I always complete the project and then go ‘What am I gonna call this?’ Because you kinda gotta get a feel for that. So, I’m trying to think of something that really says what this album’s about, and it just jumped out at me. ‘Cold Beer Conversations,’” says George. “How many cold beer conversations have you had? That song was perfect for me — about life or about politics or just different things that come up when you’re having a cold beer with one or your buddies or several. I just love the title, I think it fits perfectly.”

George announces the new CD in Las Vegas just a couple of days prior to its release last week, and he also revealed a few shows at the new Las Vegas Arena in 2016. The superstar will play Sin City December 2nd and 3rd, 2016, as well as April 22nd and 23rd and September 9th and 10th, 2016. He’ll be one of the first entertainers to perform at the Las Vegas Arena.
