  • GARY ALLAN PARTNERS WITH THE RED CROSS TO OFFER FREE DOWNLOAD OF HIS NEW VIDEO, ‘EVERY STORM RUNS OUT OF RAIN.’ (VIDEO)

Gary Allan is giving away a free download of his new hit single “Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)” as an incentive for fans to donate to the Red Cross.

Allan was scheduled to headline a show in Atlantic City the week Sandy hit.  The show, like many others in the northeast, was canceled due to the storm.  Allan shot the video for his new single just two weeks later in Nashville.  Shortly afterwards Allan and his team started to realize how timely his song was, and that it could be used as a tool to help others in need.  When disasters like Superstorm Sandy devastate communities, your support helps ensure the Red Cross is there to provide warm meals, shelter, and hope to families when they need it most.

Allan said, “My song ‘Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)’ is about hope and light at the end of the tunnel. With the devastation in the northeast region by Sandy, I thought this song was extremely timely. I wanted to partner with the Red Cross on this because they have always offered hope for those in need.”

The ‘donate to download’ widget features the NEW video for “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)”, a Donate button that directs you to The American Red Cross’s page with many ways to help support the cause, and a download link to get an exclusive acoustic version of the single.  Use this link when posting to socials:  http://mnt.st/Uc1XCT .

AUDIO: Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott and Charles Kelley talk about their CMA International Artist Achievement Award.

Lady A (CMA International Award) OC: (Charles) …hopefully proud. :49
HILLARY: “We’re so honored to receive this award, especially this year really started to feel like we were touring a little bit more globally than we have before. This European tour and then Australian tour this year were beyond our wildest dreams. I mean, we had such an amazing time, and I think that gives us a perspective to see outside of just these borders here in America. It’s all been culminating over the past 12 months of us really feeling like we have a platform and we need to use it.”

CHARLES: “We feel like our voice has grown so much more and our fan base has grown so much more, and they’re so much more diverse, and to see the CMAs get behind us like that with their support is pretty humbling. We’ve got big shoes to fill, and we’re gonna try to make everybody here in Nashville and our fans hopefully proud.”

  • LADY ANTEBELLUM INTRODUCE NEW CHARITABLE EFFORT — LADYAID! (AUDIO & PRESS RELEASE)

Nashville, TN – Dec. 3, 2012 – GRAMMY winning trio Lady Antebellum announced today their new charitable initiative called LadyAID™, a philanthropic effort created to bring awareness to and generate support for children in need locally, nationally and globally.

The multi-level organization will reach children across the state of Tennessee through grants to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.  On a national level, Lady Aid is supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and on a global level, myLIFEspeaks and The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR). The LadyAID™ Fund is a component fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, who will help the band with the facilitation of their charity.

“The opportunity to play music on stages all around the world has given us so much happiness,” said Lady A’s Dave Haywood. “By establishing LadyAID™, we’re going to be able to put a new focus on accomplishing an off-stage goal we have as a band, which is to help children in need.”

“There are children all over the world who are suffering because they don’t have the resources to get the help they need,” added Hillary Scott. “My heart has specifically been lead to the children of Haiti.  By partnering with organizations like UNHCR and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, we’ve already seen children be given access to medical care they wouldn’t otherwise have in their country.  It’s so inspiring, and anything we can do to help that cause, we’re going to do.”

“We’ve witnessed firsthand what these organizations are doing to help kids and their families. I’ve been personally touched by the children’s hospital visits we’ve made around the US over the last few years,” noted Charles Kelley. “We hope that with the help of our fans, we can all combine our energy and resources to help provide some relief to these families.”

LadyAID™ will be funded by donations and fundraising efforts including the trio’s inaugural PING PONG & SONGS event.  Inspired by a combination of the band’s favorite backstage hobby and their love of songwriting, the event will be held in early 2013.

Lady Antebellum recently wrapped their headlining tour that was awarded Billboard’s “Breakthrough Award” and traveled across the US, Canada, Europe and Australia, where the GRAMMY winning trio was welcomed by over one million fans in 11 countries on three continents. Lady A sold out shows in top markets including Los Angeles, Chicago, two nights in New York City, Toronto, London, three nights at Sydney’s Opera House and even had a chance to open a sold out show at London’s Hard Rock Calling for one of their idols Bruce Springsteen. The group’s current album OWN THE NIGHT debuted at the No. one position on Billboard’s Top 200 and has spawned two No. one hits “We Owned The Night” and “Just A Kiss.” The trio has sold over 11 million albums across the globe, scored seven GRAMMY Awards and tallied six No. one hits.

On Monday night (December 3rd) in celebration of their Christmas album ON THIS WINTER’S NIGHT, the trio will create an unforgettable night of holiday music and their biggest hits at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville. The event is being filmed for a television special by the same name that will air on GAC this Wednesday (December 5th) at 8pm ET and in more than 45 countries around the world between now and the end of the year.

AUDIO: Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley says the one aspect the band always agreed on was to help children in need, which is the focus of their new Lady Aid initiative.

    Lady A (Lady Aid) 1 OC: …into one. :24
“The one thing we always agreed on was helping kids. There’s just so much need out there, and I think any kid in need hits home to all of us and is something we can all agree is something that doesn’t need to happen. So, we try to bring as much help to kids globally and internationally an nationally here and locally, and try to collect all of these efforts into one.”

AUDIO: Lady Antebellum’s Dave Haywood talks about how Lady Aid will work with their five charitable partners.

Lady A (Lady Aid) 2 OC: …to do it. :31
“There’s a lot of things we love to give to, but this was kind of the one umbrella organization that we can start as a band and this will be the way we could do a fundraiser, raise funds and then donate to these specific charities. After visiting the Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, it’s really cool to be able to have an organization we can give directly to them, directly to My Life Speaks, the U.N. and Children’s Miracle Network. So, for us, this is a way that we can do it all in one place and have one kind of joint effort to do it.”

  • GARY ALLAN PREMIERES NEW VIDEO, ‘EVERY STORM (RUNS OUT OF RAIN),’ ON USA TODAY. (VIDEO)

    From USA Today:
Gary Allan offers a story of hope in the video for his new single, Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain). And the country singer hopes to use the video, premiering exclusively at USA TODAY, to encourage fans to donate to the Red Cross for victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Allan was supposed to play Atlantic City the weekend the hurricane hit. “Obviously, that got canceled,” he says. “Two weeks later, we shot the video, and it all seemed to make sense.”

Allan wrote Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain) with Matt Warren and Hillary Lindsey, who sings harmony on the track and is part of Allan’s band in the video. “She’s one of the most creative people I’ve ever been around,” Allan says.

The initial idea, though, came from Warren. “He was weedeating and a rock banked off his Weed Eater, hit him in the forehead and he ended up cut,” Allan says. “He said he kept thinking, ‘Every storm runs out of rain,’ so he wrote it down and brought it over.”

Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain) is the first single from Allan’s forthcoming Set You Free album, due next year. The single is one of four tracks Allan produced himself. Mark Wright produced four additional tracks, as did Jay Joyce, known for his work with Eric Church and Little Big Town.

“Instead of doing it all at once, we recorded it over a year and a half,” says Allan, who released his last album, Get Off on the Pain, in 2010. “Doing it in small batches will probably be my new way to cut. When you cut 10 or 12 songs, you end up with a couple of album cuts. But nobody wanted the album cuts; everybody was competing for the single with their songs.”

  • LADY ANTEBELLUM TALK ABOUT THEIR CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS. (AUDIO)

With three members, Lady Antebellum have quite a few Christmas traditions. While Dave Haywood’s family was making the Christmas candy, Divinity (which is made up mainly of Karo syrup and sugar, Charles Kelley’s family was enjoying homemade apple cider. “My mom always made it and she’d put all these spices [in], and it’s one of those things that always reminds me of Christmas,” says Charles. “My mom also used to make baked apples too, which I don’t know what our obsession is with apples, but apparently, we’re Christmas and apples.”

Lady A’s Hillary Scott says her family has a tradition every year of visiting with friends. “A really close family friend of ours, that we’ve been best friends with since I was a little baby, they have a big party on the 23rd of December – every year,” she explains. “And there’s always some fun theme, and we get together and sing Christmas carols, and there’s always a rendition of ‘[Tender] Tennessee Christmas’ every year. It was just such a huge part of growing up, and it’s something that I continue to do every year to this day.”

Dave Haywood says that one of family Christmas traditions always included a taking a test. “My dad on Christmas Eve, he would actually read The Christmas Story. Very predictable, I know, but after The Christmas Story, he would always give his famous Christmas test,” says Dave. “And he would have this long test and he would ask us about the Three Wisemen… the entire Christmas story. So, I’m gonna have to get the copy of it from him because he never gives us the full answers, but I’d love to get that test from him and be able to pass that along. I’ll quiz my wife this year.”

Lady A will perform songs from their new Christmas album, On This Winter’s Night, at Nashville’s Schemerhorn Center during a one-night only show on Monday (December 3rd). If you weren’t able to make it to the show, you can catch the entire show on the trio’s YouTubeChannel three times, beginning Tuesday (December 4th) at 8pm ET and Wednesday (December 5th) at 2am and 2pm ET.

By the way, you can check out Lady A’s own Christmas favorites on Spotify. The playlist is available to subscribe and listen to, and Lady A will add more songs each week. Check the list, which includes songs by Trisha Yearwood, Nat King Cole and Donny Hathaway.

“I think a tradition I would love to carry on is kind of a funny one. My dad on Christmas Eve, he would actually read The Christmas Story. Very predictable, I know, but after The Christmas Story, he would always give his famous Christmas test. And he would have this long test and he would ask us about the Three Wisemen… the entire Christmas story. Lady A (Haywood Family tradition) OC: …Haywood household. :23
“I think a big family tradition for us is actually making this Christmas candy called Divinity. It’s a mixture of Karo syrup and sugar; it’s just a super sugar treat.  But we make it every year, and my aunt makes it too, and everybody shares it with all of our relatives. You can make part of it with pecans and parts with walnuts and all kinds of crazy things. For us, it was a lot of food around the Haywood household.”

AUDIO: Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley talks about his family’s tradition of making apple cider around the holidays.

Lady A (Charles-apple cider tradition) OC: …and apples. [Hillary laughs] :29
“One thing I honestly always associate with Christmas is apple cider, hot apple cider. My mom always made it and she’d put all these spices [in], and it’s one of those things that always reminds me of Christmas. And so, actually, when we had some family over for Christmas this last year, I made some hot apple cider, and I felt very, like I was carrying on our tradition. My mom also used to make baked apples too, which I don’t know what our obsession is with apples, but apparently, we’re Christmas and apples.” [Hillary laughs]

AUDIO: Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott talks about one of her family Christmas traditions.

“One of my favorite Christmas memories, it’s actually a tradition we have every year – a really close family friend of ours, that we’ve been best friends with since I was a little baby, they have a big party on the 23rd of December – every year. And there’s always some fun theme, and we get together and sing Christmas carols, and there’s always a rendition of ‘[Tender] Tennessee Christmas’ every year. • KIP MOORE HAD REAL INSPIRATION FOR HIS ‘BEER MONEY’ VIDEO. (AUDIO & VIDEO)

Kip Moore’s video for his latest single, “Beer Money,” opens with a scene between Kip (who plays a car mechanic) and his “boss,” who is played by his actual manager, Shawn McSpadden. They didn’t have to go too far to find the motivation for the friction that existed between the two.

“We bicker a lot with each other, so it kind of came natural to us,” Kip says.  “We get along great, but he makes me mad sometimes so I just kind of carry that anger into that little scene.”

That particular scene wasn’t in the original treatment for the video, though. Kip wanted a scene to reflect what he went through while chasing a music career.

“I thought about how I wanted the whole video to flow and the story, and at the end of it, I said, ‘Let’s go back and let’s do this opening scene like this,’ because that’s how so many of my jobs were,” says the Georgia native. “I was always trying to write songs while I was at work or doing other songs, and I always had bosses getting on to me, especially the whole time I was here in Nashville. So, that was a very true scene to my coming through this town.”

“Beer Money” is currently sitting inside the Top 5, and Kip is performing it while he’s on the road with Eric Church on the Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour.

AUDIO: Kip Moore talks about the opening scene of his video for “Beer Money,” featuring his actual manager.

  • MEET THE LEAD CHARACTER IN ERIC CHURCH’S ‘CREEPIN” VIDEO. (AUDIO)

The video for Eric Church’s latest smash, “Creepin’,” has its terrifying moments, especially for the leading man in the clip, who is played by actor Jared Sullivan. “I’m in this relationship I can’t get out of and the train is a metaphor for this relationship, and I can’t escape and I’m running through the train,” explains Jared. “I’m walking, and I’m coming across these people that symbolize the failing aspects of my relationship.”

Jared is originally from Durant, Oklahoma, and he moved to Nashville last year, where he’d planned to continue doing merchandising for various bands. However, that all changed when he decided to take acting classes and got booked in a principal role in a PSA for the Armed Forces Network. He’s also had a few roles in some independent films, as well, before being booked as the lead character in Church’s “Creepin’” video.

The shoot for “Creepin’,” which was directed by Peter Zavadil, wasn’t all glamour and glitz for anyone, including Eric or Jared. “They had us in Chattanooga, on a steam train, and this train didn’t have air conditioning,” he says. “It was 100-plus degrees, and I was sweating my tail off. They had people coming up after every take, you know, with like little paper towels dabbing me off, trying to keep me dry, trying to keep me looking good for the shoot.”

Eric is currently out on his Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour, which is scheduled to wrap December 15th in Sunrise, Florida.

“Creepin'” is from Eric’s CMA Album of the Year, Chief.

By the way, if you were wondering who the red-headed woman is in the “Creepin’” video, her name is Melissa Core, and she’s a choreographer, dancer and model originally from Australia.

AUDIO: Actor Jared Sullivan explains his character in Eric Church’s “Creepin’” video.

Eric Church (Creepin’ actor) 1 OC: …relationship. :28
“[Director Peter Zavadil] was amazing, he knew exactly what he wanted and like the energy he brought to the set, it was infectious. Basically, he just wanted me to be scared, to be able to convey a sense of helplessness and panic because my character is, I’m in this relationship I can’t get out of and the train is a metaphor for this relationship, and I can’t escape and I’m running through the train. I’m walking, and I’m coming across these people that symbolize the failing aspects of my relationship.”

AUDIO: Actor Jared Sullivan talks about his character in Eric Church’s “Creepin’” video.

Eric Church (Creepin’ actor) 2 OC: …helpless, you know? :18
“There are scenes where I’m being scolded by people, you know, telling me that I was wrong, that I mistreated this girl, and she almost feels empowered now. That was the motivation he was giving her, and that she was getting stronger, so she’s standing up to me and it’s, I’ve never seen this side of her before. So, I’m scared. I feel helpless, you know.”

AUDIO: Actor Jared Sullivan said it was extremely hot during the shooting of Eric Church’s “Creepin’” video.

Eric Church (Creepin’ actor) 3 OC: …the shoot. :16
“They had us in Chattanooga, on a steam train, and this train didn’t have air conditioning. You know, it was 100-plus degrees, and I was sweating my tail off. They had people coming up after every take, you know, with like little paper towels dabbing me off, trying to keep me dry, trying to keep me looking good for the shoot.”
