Priscilla Block got a little “wasted” at her elementary school talent show, er that is, she sang Carrie Underwood’s 2007 hit song “Wasted.” While all the other kids were performing age-appropriate songs, Priscilla got a little sassy with her performance.

“So, I started doing talent shows in elementary school, just ‘cause all of my friends were doing it, whatever,” says Priscilla. “And my first talent show, I think I was in second grade and I sang – I’ve been a trainwreck since day one (laughs) honestly. I sang ‘Wasted’ by Carrie Underwood for like my third grade talent show. And I remember my friends’ parents were like, is she? They’re singing ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ and I’m singing ‘Wasted’ by Carrie Underwood. (laughs) It was just, oh my gosh, yup, that was me.”

She’s always been a country girl — at another talent show, she performed Rascal Flatts’ “Bless the Broken Road.”

Priscilla is not “wasting” any of her time; she’s currently climbing the country charts with “My Bar.” She made her debut performing during Nashville’s famed CMA Music Fest and is set to appear as a special guest on select dates with Jon Pardi. Fans can also see Priscilla at the upcoming Boots & Hearts Festival in Ontario, Canada on August 7th as she joins the all-star line-up, which includes Shania Twain, among many others.
