REBA McENTIRE: On This Date In History (January 11th)

On this date (January 11th) in 1983, Reba McEntire scored her first No. 1 hit with “Can’t Even Get the Blues,” which was included on her Unlimited album for Polygram/Mercury Records. “It was just something different.  Before that song I was kind of the queen of waltzes,” she says.

The song is also included on her recent three-album box set, Revised, Remixed, Revisited, which was released in October.

Reba is set to hit the road for her REBA: LIVE IN CONCERT tour, kicking off this Thursday (January 13th) in Evansville, Indiana.

Reba McEntire (Can’t Even Get The Blues) OC: …there you go. :16
“’Can’t Even Get the Blues” was my very first number one record.  It was the fifth song that we selected as a single off my fourth album at Polygram Mercury Records.  It was just something different.  Before that song I was kind of the queen of waltzes.  So, there you go.”
