SAM HUNT SAYS MORE IS BETTER. (AUDIO)

Sam Hunt digitally released the X2C Album Preview this week, prior to the release of his full-length album October 27th. He says there’s a reason he wanted to give people a taste of what’s to come.

“I wanted to go ahead and put out a few songs from the album out a couple months out before the actual album, to sort of provide a preview for the album to give folks a bit of a taste of what the album’s gonna look like, and also, it’s just another way, you don’t have to wait quite as long to get more music out,” says Sam. “The more music we have out, you can feel the energy that brings to the live shows, because people are able to go home and consume music. They come to the shows, they know the songs – they listen to ‘em over and over, and they can sing along with us, and that makes for a lot of fun in the live show, so I can’t wait to get all of the music out, but these first four will be a pretty good start.”

This fall, Hunt will join labelmate Kip Moore, as well as Charlie Worsham, on the CMT on Tour: Up in Smoke Tour. The trek kicks off September 25th in New York City.

“I’ve been antsy to put out music for a couple of years now. That’s sort of what sparked this little acoustic tape that I put out last summer. Since then, I’ve been antsy and eager to put out music as quickly as possible. And fortunately, ‘Leave the Night On,’ started moving and allowed us to put out an album this fall. I wanted to go ahead and put out a few songs from the album out a couple months out before the actual album, to sort of provide a preview for the album to give folks a bit of a taste of what the album’s gonna look like, and also, it’s just another way, you don’t have to wait quite as long to get more music out.
