Taylor Swift’s re-recorded 30-track version of Red is nearing release. Moved up from its original November 19th date to November 12th, Taylor’s Version of the collection will include 30-tracks and feature nine bonus songs including collaborations with Chris Stapleton, Ed Sheeran and Phoebe Bridgers and other tracks that were originally meant for Red (the 2012 edition), but ended up with other artists such as “Better Man” for Little Big Town.
Taylor explains how she was heartbroken during the original making of the album but during the process of writing and recording, she healed from that heartbreak.
“Musically and lyrically, Red’ resembled a heartbroken person,” she says. “It was all over the place, a fractured mosaic of feelings that somehow all fit together in the end. Happy, free, confused, lonely, devastated, euphoric, wild and tortured by memories past.” These are the original 30 songs that were meant for Red. I love you guys!”
The global superstar surprised fans when she dropped a 30-second teaser on her socials with several word jumbles floating out of a vault in early August, and it didn’t take long for fans to solve the puzzle.
The CD includes an exclusive album booklet with never-before-seen photos, artwork and lyrics for the nine songs from the vault. The vinyl version (which includes four records) includes nine songs from the vault, lyrics to all 30 songs, never-before-seen photos and artwork and handwritten lyrics for the 10-minute version of “All Too Well.”
