The members of Little Big Town are excited to host the inaugural People’s Choice Country Awards this Thursday night (September 28th).

“I think what we’re looking forward to most in the People’s Choice Country Awards are bringing the party to Nashville, first of all. It’s the first-ever of this,” says LBT’s Jimi Westbrook. “Coming to the Opry, bringing them to the historical home of country music, and the performances. It’s always a fun night when we get everybody from the genre together and hang out and celebrate each other.”

While they are unable to reveal what fans can expect, Phillip Sweet says it’s going to be a night that makes folks feel good. “I don’t know what we can reveal other than it’s going to be a feel-good night, and it’s going to feel like coming back home in a way. And I think people just need this kind of energy right now, like seeing the new and the fresh and what’s happening, and also honoring Wynonna, honoring Toby Keith and seeing how, at the Grand Ole Opry, all that history, you’re going to feel that energy, and that’s what I’m excited about too.”

Little Big Town isn’t just hosting the show, but the group is also nominated Group/Duo of 2023.

Carrie Underwood and Chris Stapleton lead Universal Music Group Nashville’s list of nominees for the inaugural People’s Choice Country Awards.

Carrie has three nods for the fan-voted show, including Female Artist of 2023, Social Country Star of 2023 and Concert Tour of 2023  for her Denim & Rhinestones Tour.

Chris is also nominated in three categories, including Collaboration Song of 2023 for “We Don’t Fight Anymore” w/ Carly Pearce, Crossover Song of 2023 with “Just Say I’m Sorry” with P!NK and  Concert Tour of 2023 for his All American Road Show.

Priscilla Block picks up two nominations for New Artist of 2023 and Collaboration Song of 2023 with the No. 1 song “You, Me, And Whiskey” w/ Justin Moore.

Brothers Osborne, Little Big Town, Maddie & Tae and The War And Treaty are all nominated for Group/Duo of 2023.

During the show, Toby Keith will be presented with the Country Icon Award by fellow Okie Blake Shelton, and Wynonna will receive the Country Champion Award.

The People’s Choice Country Awards will air live from Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House Thursday (September 28th) beginning at 8pm ET/7pm CT on NBC and Peacock.
